The Open sign still thudded gently against the door, but the proprietor appeared to be missing-- at least for the moment.

This wasn't really any kind of unusual occurance, though, and Cable was certainly somewhere on the premises. He'd pop up on his own time.

After lunch Ino showed up, half to check on her plants and half to tell Cable about her newest student. "Cable-san?" She called to let him know she was there while going around and fussing with her plants.

There was some noise coming from one of the other rooms, but that was really all.

She rolled her eyes in the direction of the other rooms and continued puttering. It was alright if he took awhile, she'd been neglecting her plants thank to the holidays and they deserved the extra attention.

Another few minutes rolled by.

"Hello, Ino."

It was one of those popping-up-in-the-doorway days, apparently.

Ino grinned at him, looking up from one of her plants, "Afternoon, Cable-san! What were you so busy working with?"

"Preparing for a potential problem." Cable settled down behind his desk, shifting papers. "It's nothing to worry about. How are your plants?"

"They're doing pretty good, a little dry some of them but that's easily fixed." Ino wrinkled her nose at the plant, then wandered over to the desk, "But, actually, I came to see if it was alright with you that I've acquired another student in the fighting lessons I'm giving Lana?"

"Who and what?" he asked, arranging the papers in a neat stack to be worked through.

"His name's Liir, he's a new student," Ino said, "and it'd just be the same as Lana - basic ways for defending and attacking for the most part."

Good thing he was setting up some security cameras in the meditation room.

Well. 'Setting up'. Cable may have long since done that. "Okay," he replied, the stern voice of permission.

So Wade sat down at the counter, spinning in the chair. Spinning chairs were just AWESOME.

"Naaaaate, I'm going to screw up your careful organization if you don't come out heeeeeere."

Yep, definitely an appearing-in-the-doorway kind of day.

"I was checking on the store." He walked past Wade at the desk, moving up to a weapons case and fiddling with something nearby.

"Suuuure you were," Wade replied, shifting a few things on Nate's desk. Because he could.

And with that, Nate ceased messing with whatever he'd been messing with, walked over, and pulled his paperwork off the desk.

He smirked, leaning back in the chair. "Where ya been hiding?"

"I haven't been hiding." Nate moved the papers neatly back into order and left them on top of one of the cases.
