Andrew was meeting Michael here tonight for dinner. He went ahead and ordered two waters and a pot of hot green tea as soon as he got there. Andrew also grabbed a bottle of sriracha sauce from a neighboring table, knowing that the other boy liked things spicy.

He hoped Michael wouldn't have any trouble finding it with all the snow.

He found it easily enough, though he was just a little covered in melting snow when he finally arrived.

Andrew stood up and waved Michael over. "I got us tea," he said, pouring up two cups of the steaming liquid. "Did you find it okay?"

"Tea is good", he said with a grin, shivering for effect and reaching for a cup. "Yeah, I did, once I got out of the snowball fight."

"I try to avoid situations where people are throwing things at me," Andrew said. "I mean, sure, it might start out all fun and laughing like, but it never fails that I end up flat on my back holding some part of myself in pain."

Andrew held out the container of sweeteners. "Sugar?"

Michael considered, then nodded. "Sugar's good."

He proceeded to add that and sriracha sauce to his tea.

"Sweet and spicy! Add some chicken and you've got my favorite dish." Andrew looked over the menu.

"Do you want to get an appetizer? Maybe some pot stickers?"

"Don't find many who appreciate sweet and spicy together", Michael said, taking a sip of his tea and looking satisfied. "Sure, pot stickers work."

"So how was your first week of classes?" Andrew asked. "Have any totally insane professors? Get any fun homework assignments?"

"Well, Isabel says Deadpool's insane, but I think he's cool." This may or may not be a reflection on his own sanity. "No homework yet, all the classes were just introductions."

"One of my first classes, Professor Stinson made us secretly videotape ourselves trying to pick up girls. I, um, cheated -- totally arranged it all with my friend, Annette. It was a good time."

He sat the menu down. "Know what you want? I can call over the waiter."

"Hey, nothing wrong with cheating if you don't get caught", Michael said matter-of-factly. "Yeah, I'm set."

Andrew beckoned the waiter over. "Get whatever you want," he told Michael. "It's totally my treat."

Andrew ordered the pot stickers, some fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken.

Michael ordered something to be established later, since the mun couldn't look up Thai food from work.

"You know my roommate made everyone think we ate the frogspawn?"

Andrew laughed. "Did you bother to clarify the situation? You should buy a jar of it, keep it in your room, and spoon a little out every so often so she thinks you like snack on it."

"It's fun to screw with people's minds", Michael agreed. "I might just do that."

"So who is your roommate?" Andrew wondered if it was anyone he had met.

"Brooke", he told the other boy. "The one that did radio on Wednesday."

"Oh, Brooke!" Andrew nodded. "I don't think I've met her. Is it strange having a girl for a roommate? I don't think I would mind."

"It's kind of weird having a roommate at all", Michael admitted. "But I think everyone got put in boy-girl pairs."

"So you didn't have to share a room with anyone back home? I shared with my brother for years before my aunt finally sacrificed her sewing room to give Tucker his own space. I mean, it's not like she every used it, and she got tired of me whining when Tucker would lock me out so he could have his 'alone time.'"

Michael shook his head.

"'s just me and my foster dad, and there's room for both of us in the trailer. Just."

"Wait, you and Isabel didn't grow up in the same house?" Andrew was confused.

"Nope. Her and Max got adopted together."

"But did you get to see them? I mean, you were in the same area right?"

"Sure. After we turned nine."

He really didn't like remembering those first years.
