The Park, Tuesday morning

Having no classes until the end of the week, River had decided to spend part of the day in a tree. A stop at the Perk had supplied her with enough coffee and donuts, and she had brought apples with her. Now she sat, dangling her legs, staring up at the sky and smiling.

Skies could change, evolve, move constantly and yet remain essentially the same. River wondered whether that was reassuring or not.
