In the morning, Cable fed the dog, had breakfast, then trailed around his apartment picking up the trash - ration bar wrappers, tin cans, a full bottle of rum and the remains of some double paperwork.
He put the trash outside before he slapped the Open sign on the door, then settled behind his desk, working on his laptop and occasionally flexing his left arm.
It was just another day at the office.
