Still dressed in his pilot's uniform, Frank was smug as he leaned against the outside of the bank building. Whoever this Montague kid was, his last name should have been spelled M-A-R-K. Frank had relieved him of his burdensome cash, sending it all via a wire transfer to an account in another false name in a Swiss bank.

He just wondered why the teller had looked so surprised by his "I'm a pilot on a layover from Pan Am and I need money to get home" cover story. That always worked like a charm. And he had no idea what the Aytiem machine she kept asking him to use was.

Whatever. He'd gotten away with it again. Whistling, he began to walk back toward the dormitory building where his day had begun.

Wasn't there supposed to be some rule about honor among thieves? Professional courtesy and all that?

Well, technically, Rikku didn't know that he was a swindler. And ... well ... she wasn't that bright anyway.

So she was flying close to the blond-haired boy, leaning in to see if she could grab anything interesting from his pockets.

Romeo's wallet was still in there, along with the checkbook and a pocket knife. And, as tiny flying fairy thieves were entirely outside Frank's experience, he can be forgiven for assuming this one was a trick of his eyes, perhaps, or a low-flying hummingbird.

Oooooh! Rikku got her tiny hands around the wallet, and the checkbook, and was going for the knife ... which made her drop the wallet entirely. "Oops!"

Panic! Panic! Abort!

She swooped down and rescued the wallet, and decided to leave the knife where it was in favor of making a clean getaway. (Surely, Frank could sympathize.) "Byeeeee!"

"Hey!" Frank shouted, looking around for police for a moment before he remembered that was really not something one in his position did. Then he shrugged and went back to his amble. He still had a very full billfold in one inner jacket pocket, and his Pan Am ID card next to it. He'd be fine.
