Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Monday

Cable was up early-- earlier than normal, even-- and it was still dark when he put the Open sign on the door of the store. It was quiet. Black, and silent.

He slipped into the locked-off back room for a little while to deal with the contents of Weasel's box before setting up his laptop and studying his map.

Tether laid in a corner, chewing on something. Cable was fairly sure it wasn't a weapon, at least.

It was Monday! They had gotten a shipment (or so Triela hoped). Maybe her order was here!

"Hi!" she called cheerfully as pushed open the front door.

"Hello."

Cable was in the process of fidgeting around with the box. He may not have actually been looking up at Triela when he spoke.

"So, did my order come?" She bounced toward Cable in excitement. It may have been a bit creepy.

"It might have," Cable replied, vaguely. He glanced at the schematics on his laptop.

"Could you check, then?" Somehow Triela was able to make the question both innocent and demanding at the same time.

"I could." He leaned forward, frowning slightly.

"Will you check, then?"

"Soon," Cable replied, mildly, and finally glanced up from the screen. "Any particular reason you ordered these particular items?"

"Well," Triela drawled. "Hillshire's been after me to replace the M97, but I don't want to. I thought if I could find a way to make it more effective he'd leave me alone. This place is so weird, I thought I might be able to get ammunition from my future, you know?"

She still wasn't sure she could, but the idea that she might be able to made her a bit giddy.

"Hillshire?"

It was an idle question. Cable leaned back in his chair, pressing a few buttons to pull up something else on his laptop.

"My handler back home." A simple word for a very complex relationship.

Cable nodded idly, storing the information in the back of his mind. "You run the Girls with Guns club."

"That's me!" she agreed cheerfully. "You're teaching Ino to shoot, right?"

"How's she doing?" More of the eye-narrowing.

"Are you her handler?" Triela asked. That was the sort of look Jean usually got when he was asking about Rico, after all.

"I'm no one's handler," he commented, then smirked vaguely. "At least not anymore. I'm simply curious."

"Okay," Triela shrugged. After a moment to think about her answer she began, "She's got a good eye and good coordination, but she's too small to handle anything bigger than a pistol or a small SMG." Not that Triela was much bigger than Ino, but cybernetic implants did a lot to offset that sort of thing.

Which is moddable as always, or ask Cable for help.
