Devil's Nest, Wednesday 2/13

Valentine's Day wasn't something Kabuto really knew or cared about. He paid no attention to it, and really, he had more on his mind anyway. Like the week before, he left Musubi in charge of the bar and went to the lounge to write.

"Did a bit," she said, relaxing against him, "but mostly I just couldn't sleep. Then I had a spear lesson with Cable-san, and Lana's fighting lesson, and then there were more people. So busy."

"Busy tomorrow," she said, very definitely leaning on him by now, "Liir's taking me flying, then I've got class. And you'd probably be busy with research."

"Since I don't have any classes tomorrow, it's entirely possible." He shrugged slightly, trying not to disturb her. "Did you need to see me for something specific?"

Ino peeked up at him. "Come to the dance with me."

"Didn't we do that once before?" He was mostly just being difficult, since Ino was in such a snappy mood. He liked making her angry.
