The Perk, Sunday

Mohinder was reasonably sure he had his coffee habit under control. The world - or at least the Perk - hadn't started to jitter just yet. He'd picked up a straight black coffee along with a double blueberry muffin and had found a seat by the window.

Mohinder set up his laptop and started browsing airline sites. He was looking forward to the next week's break.

One more week. One more week and he'd be done with this damn take it easy cause of getting shot crap.

In the meantime, a frozen mocha and a slice of marble cake sounded good.

Mohinder nodded across the room, his mouth too full of muffin to verbalize a greeting without choking.

Billy waved back. He'd seen the man around town, but never spoken to him. "Good morning."

"Good morning," replied Mohinder, piece of muffin safely swallowed. "Are you looking forward to the spring break?"

"I am." Billy nodded. "Last year I had nothing going on, but this year I'm going sailing with the family, so that'll be fun."
