He was going to Mexico for Spring Break; to celebrate, Romeo was raiding the men's section for key vacation wear. There weren't nearly enough Hawaiian shirts in stock for his taste.

He would have been taste-testing Tink's tequila, but he figured that could wait until after lunch.

John realized he needed some new things for the beach, so he stopped in and was pleased to find Romeo working.

"How goes the retail business this fine day?" he asked, leaning on a rack of something.

Romeo turned from the rack of bathing suits he was considerately organizing by amount of coverage. "John!" he greeted. "Well so far, at least in being quiet. How are you?"

"Looking forward to getting some use out of a new swimsuit," John replied, wondering if it would be wrong of him to pick up things not for himself while he was there. "Did you hear about the Mexico trip?"

"Signed up for it," Romeo said eagerly. "I will miss Florida, but Mexico is warmer yet, and free, and I felt our plans were not so solid yet that a change of plans would be a problem."

And Mexico was that much closer to Verona, too.

Rikku wasn't quite her chipper self, but she was doing her best at forced cheer.

"Heya!" She waved. "So, uh, you still heading for Florida on break?"

Romeo grinned at Rikku, not quite twigging to the forced cheer. "I signed up for Mexico instead," he said. "It is free, and closer to home for me. Florida will still be there if we want to go later."

"Probably not going anywhere," she said, nodding. "How far away is Mexico? Is it warm and sunny and all full of beaches and stuff, too? I think Lulu's going."

"Across the country, and to the south," Romeo said. "Only a few hours in a plane. And it is very warm, and very sunny, and there is excellent food. And tequila."

She would be leaving for Serenity later that day, and River had decided that Pixie Dust would be the best place to stop by for a present for her brother. The present Romeo had helped her chose for Adah had been well received, after all. She smiled as she entered the shop.

"Another present," she replied. "For my brother this time. He needs a new waistcoat."

"A waistcoat?" Romeo repeated, a little uncertain before he mentally translated it into "vest." "Of course, we've some left from before the dance."

He lead River to near the back of the store and gestured to a rack. "This is quite basic, but well-made, and red." He liked red. "And then this has a nice stripe, or I rather like the silk of this. Though he might get more everyday wear out of this. And of course we have others"

Mel wandered into the store looking at clothes in hopes of finding something cool for the Spring Break trip.

Romeo noticed the slayer and quickly, guiltily, put the jacket he had been trying on back on the rack. "Good e'en, Mel, may I help you?"

"I'm looking for stuff to wear for the spring break trip," Mel said browsing through some shirts. "And don't put the jacket away on my account. Looks good on you."

"You think?" Romeo asked, reaching out to pet it. "I was unsure about the lining."

He gestured to a few racks. "There are casual things there, and sundresses on the other shelf. Bathing suits are here."

Okay, Amber needed some cute things for the Spring Break trip. She was on a budget, however, so hopefully she could get some great deals.

She was pleasantly surprised to see Romeo at work. "Hi, Romeo."

She smiled. "I don't know. I guess it will be warm in Mexico? I could use some shorts and t-shirts. Maybe a sun dress. I... is there a sales rack? I'm kinda on a budget."

Sokka's face brightened when he saw Romeo. "Oh, HI! Yeah. I was worried there'd be a girl here. ...Not you, an actual girl. Okay, yeah."

He leaned in close and waggled his eyebrows. "I'm going on the trip to Mexico. Which I hear is all... You know. Warm, and beach-y. And full of ladies. So I need bathing shorts that make me look GOOD."
