Who is talking to her shoes.

"No, really, I don't want to wear you today," she protested. "Yes, really, you're very pretty, but you're going out shoes, not work shoes. And I'm going to be walking back and forth to the ballrooms today..."

The shoes cut her off and tried to lead her to the door.
