The Perk, Tuesday morning/noon-ish
There had been several places around town that Sky had noticed as a sparkleball which he resolved to come back and visit when he was human again. His first handwavy try earlier Tuesday morning had been Book Haven, which to his disappointment seemed to be closed for the day. So he'd gone back to his room, gotten a book he owned, and went to the Perk instead. It would be a nice change from the dorm walls.
Sky ordered a cup of tea and took a window seat, staring out the window for a while and considering calling Troy to see if he wanted to join him. He also noticed the numerous angel statues for the first time, wondering where they'd suddenly come from. Shrugging it off as Fandom weirdness, he was soon absorbed in his book, even forgetting his idea to call. He'd probably be there for a while; this place seemed pretty pleasant.

She smiled at Sky, debating whether or not to go say hi since he looked to be wrapped up in his book.

"It's the first Barry Plodder," he said. "It's one of those series I always heard was so good, but never got around to reading, even though I've had a copy of this on my shelf for a while. I had nothing else to do today and needed to get out of my room for a while, so I decided to come here for a change of scenery." He peered curiously at the bag. "Is your dog inside there?"

"Yeah, Porthos is in there," she added. "I don't think they'll let me turn him loose in here, and he makes a fuss every time I leave him alone in my dorm room."

"Porthos really belongs to a friend of mine back home," added Hoshi, glossing over the fact that her "friend" was a Starfleet commander twice her age. "He got new orders when I was there over spring break and couldn't take Porthos with him on his mission, so he asked if I could take care of Porthos for him."

"Well, that's nice that you were able to take care of Porthos," he said, nodding. "Does he seem to like it at Fandom so far?"

"He loves it. There's all sorts of activity in the dorms and he loves going to the park. Except those weird statues popped up and scared us both off," she added, frowning.

which really ought to be rectified at some point," said Hoshi. She glanced at the statue outside the window and shuddered. "I don't remember seeing that one either. Those things really give me the creeps. They couldn't just be popping up on their own, could they?"no subject

"And be careful walking around, too," he said. "I really do hope it's nothing, but all the same..."
