Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand, Wed., 3/12

"I don't know, Eddie. It wasn't there yesterday," George Michael said about the statue that was some two hundred feet away or so. An angel statue no less.

"I thought they just belonged in graveyards. Strange, right? Eddie... you think that's strange?" He chuckled nervously and shook his head, looking down as he checked his nuts.

Not dirty.

Looking back up, he quirked his lips just before his mouth parted. "Uh, did you see... uh, that's weird. It moved, right? Eddie? Did you see it move? Was it ever even there? Uncle GOB? Are you here...?"

[ETA: George Michael closed the stand after lunch!]

Mary showed up around lunchtime with a picnic basket. "Sweetie, I brought you lunch," she said.

She noticed the distraction. It wasn't like Mary needed to have attention focused on her all the time, but it did seem a little unusual. "Is something wrong?"

"I saw a couple of them on my way from the hotel, but I didn't pay much attention," said Mary. "Something weird is definitely going on, though. Jeff didn't show up for work at all yesterday. It's not like him. And Turtle wasn't on the radio Monday night."

"No, you weren't drinking last night," said Mary, looking around. "We were, um, both a little too busy for that last night."

"It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I'm looking forward to many, many more of them with you," said Mary, smiling.

"Now, would that be so bad?" asked Mary, giggling.

She was about to say more, but she saw something out of the corner of her eye and turned. "Um, that statue wasn't there earlier, right?"

"That statue totally gives me the creeps," said Mary, turning back to face George Michael.

"So, back to what we were discussing earlier... When you close the stand later on and come home, what do you want me to be wearing?"

"You mean that frilly white apron? I think that can be arranged," said Mary, happy to think of non-creepy things. "So, absolutely nothing but the apron? That means nothing underneath, right?"

"Oh, the squirrels are going to have so much fun reporting what they heard of this conversation," giggled Mary as she started pulling sandwiches out of her picnic basket. "Still, you make me feel absolutely amazing, George Michael. That's one of the things I love about you."

"I love you too," said Mary. "Tonight is going to be awesome. I'm going to make sure of that," she added with a smile.

"I should go back to the hotel and get ready for tonight," said Mary with a smile.

The smile disappeared when she noticed yet another creepy statue. Were these things multiplying?

"I think that would be a really good idea," said Mary. "I'd feel a lot safer with you, sweetheart."

She was likely to not let him leave the hotel once they got there.

"Thanks. I'd feel a lot safer with you," said Mary, squeezing his hand. Not to mention she'd feel better knowing he was safe away from all those statues.

"Guess this means I'll have to put on that apron and serve the rest of lunch as soon as we get back," she added with a wink.
