There was a high-pitched shrieking sound coming from the kitchen, and then a few seconds later, Gunther came running out of the kitchen, screaming at the top of his lungs.

Mary didn't hesitate. She retrieved her gun from the front desk safe and burst into the kitchen to confront the... rats? No, not just rats. There were rats in pirate garb, and they were trying to make off with a platter of grilled cheese sandwiches while the sous chef was trying to fight them off with a broom. Of course, one look at Mary waving a gun at them and the pi-rats fled. "Thank goodness for that," said Mary. "I forgot that the gun wasn't loaded."
