Cafe Fina - Wednesday 3/19
The cafe wasn't actually open, but Fai couldn't read the open/closed sign yet, and nobody had bothered to point it out to him.
The kitchen utensils were currently helping Fai clean up, sweeping and dusting and washing dusty dishes. The blond himself wasn't exactly helping...he was supervising. While sitting at one of the tables with a cup of tea, idly writing down notes on a pad of paper in front of him. There were more doodles in the margins than actual notes, but he was trying to get some ideas for a menu. Having politely declined the cheese grater's offer for help, that left the task entirely up to Fai.
And Kurogane, if the ninja felt so inclined, though Fai had to doubt that; Kurogane was too weirded out by the singing and dancing silverware still.
Still, there was work to be done. Once he'd figured out some possible menu choices, Fai would need to see about how to hire new staff - of the human or humanoid variety. There were definitely positions available.
(Cafe Fina is not quite open for business, so no OCD yet. But if you want to drop by and talk to the new owner(s) or anyone is interested in a job?)

It was a combination of chance and skill, however, that made sure he didn't fall off the broom when he saw the moving kitchenware.
As for the mild lack of landing (and by which, we mean a very gentle kind of crash) just outside the kitchen window? That, uh... that's just adolescent clumsiness.

"Hello~! Are you all right?" Fai looked down at the crashed adolescent with a broom, noting inwardly that this was not someone he knew.

He turned, eyes wide as he saw the man who had been with the moving kitchen utensils.
"I'm f-fine."
Ozdammit stutter.

What exactly was he going to say?
That spoon: was it alive when you met it or--
Do you come from some sort of world where inanimate objects are animate? I find it weird enough when they talk to me--
Is that a moving spoon in your kitchen, or--

"We don't have uniforms," he said. "I just try to look presentable according to the fashions here. Well, as presentable as I can afford."
He looked back at the restaurant.
"Do you work there?"
Teddy had mentioned he might want to take Andrew out there once. That was why he was there at all; he'd thought the event might make Andrew feel good after everything.

This was because Cassandra wasn't really very good at this whole 'telling if businesses are open' business. That had, predictably, lead to some awkward situations.

"I'm sorry, I never introduced myself." Fai stood, bowing politely. "My name is Fai D. Flourite. But please, call me Fai."
