Michael came into the diner and immediately started cleaning again.

He did find time for a specials board this time, though.

Specials:

Mac and cheese casserole

Creamy Tex-Mex chicken spaghetti

Crockpot chili

Chicken risotto

Rice pudding

Luke's was open.

Depending on who you are, though, he may not talk back.

Isabel had made another run into town get more Tylenol and some juice for Andrew. Realizing the time, and remembering last night's conversation with Ino, she stopped at the diner and took a seat at the counter.

Michael was fetching something from the back. Hearing her come in, he glanced through the kitchen door... and didn't come out.

He knew she'd have heard the radio, at least.

"Do you really think you can hide from me?" Isabel called when it became obvious Michael wasn't going to come out and talk to her.

"I'm working!" he called back. "You want to order something, I'll come out."

"I thought you're actually supposed to come out and talk to the customer face to face," Isabel replied, rolling her eyes. "And not make them yell. I've waited tables. I know these things."

"You're not a customer, you're my sister." He did emerge from the kitchen, though. "What'll it be?"

"Nothing actually. I just wanted to talk to you," she admitted.

Michael stopped in his tracks.

"If you heard the radio, I don't want to talk about it."

"I heard it before radio," Isabel told him. "Ino came to see me."

"Did she", he said flatly. "I still don't want to talk about it."

"Of course not," she said, rolling her eyes. She really hadn't expected him to and if he had, it's possible she would have died right there of shock.

Michael just shrugged, glancing back into the kitchen.

Isabel sighed. "Just because you don't want to talk doesn't mean I can't worry about you."

"Sure. But worrying won't make me talk."

"Of course not. Just like it won't make Andrew go to the doctor's."

Michael's incoming rant warnings should be going off at this point.

"What the hell is it with you guys?" she asked rhetorically. "You're hurt but you won't admit it. He's sick as a dog, but he knows better and won't go to the doctor. Is it too much to ask to let me help? Honestly. I'm not asking for much. A simple conversation, a short visit to the clinic. But nooooo. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about."

His eyes sharpened at that.

"Andrew's sick?"

Yes, he was ignoring the rest.

Which Isabel was well aware of. But since she sincerely doubted she get anything out of him regarding Ino, she let it slide.

"Yes. He's got a fever. I don't think he's eating and he's being stubborn and won't go to the doctor."

"...right." He proceeded to untie his apron. "My shift's over. No one's coming in anyway."

"Your shift is only half over," she said. "Stay and finish it. I've got medicine for him. I'll make sure he takes it."

"The place's been dead the last few weeks, and Yitzhak doesn't care. Andrew matters to Liir."

Isabel nodded. "I know he does. What are you going to do?"

"I don't know. Make him go to the clinic. Heal him. Something."

"Hopefully you'll have better luck with him then I did," she replied. "He's being incredibly stubborn."

"We'll see who can out-stubborn who", Michael told her, jaw set.

Isabel held out the bag with the medicine she'd gotten ~~handwavily~~ at the store. "Then take this with you and make sure he takes some. Although hopefully you'll have better luck convincing him to go to the doctor."

"I'll do what I can. Get Liir to help if I need to, but hopefully he'll listen."

She had her doubts about that but she kept them to herself. "Well then come on, I'll walk back up with you."

"Right behind you."

Michael will try to make sure the place is clean.
