The Boards - Thursday Evening - 3/27
Geoffrey puts out the sign with quite a bit of pride. He thought, as far as he could, that it expressed the ragged and raw nature of the theatre which he hoped to produce, as well as indicate the general budgetary level of said theatre.

Next to the sign was another, written only on paper.
Casting for Titus Andronicus. Knock.
[ooc: one of a few postings for the next week or so; tag as you can if you're interested in working with Geoffrey][as it's Geoffrey... language warning]

He was, however, eyeing the paper sign a little warily.

...and despite all hints to the contrary, Geoffrey is not in fact psychic. He's just got a good angle on the window from inside and likes to keep people on their toes.

It was, perpetually, open. After all, what in hell would anyone steal from him? He didn't have anything. And killing him?
Unless the cat burglar was named Ellen there'd be no point at all.

"So - a theatre, huh?"
no subject
"Yes, a theatre. Are you here to try out?"
no subject
The mildly deranged was scaring him.

He stood up then, leaving behind a couple of poster boards he'd been working on to trot his way over to the boy. A hand was offered as the other one attempted to do something with his hair; it wasn't quite patting down but neither was it combing through. The effect was similarly hard to describe.
"Geoffrey Tennant," he introduced himself. "And you?"
no subject
"Michael Guerin", he answered, shaking the offered hand automatically.
no subject
"And what brings you here otherwise, Michael?"

The sign drew his attention, however, and as he walked he found himself moving towards the building with the new sign, and knocking on the door.

Though the door was opened a moment later by a smiling man who looked as if he'd gotten a hurricane all his own.

"You're doing auditions, are you?" he asked, gesturing to the sign, smiling a bit. "I don't have anything prepared or anything, I just saw the sign, but I thought I'd ask about them, anyway."
no subject
He guessed so, but wouldn't presume.

"You're not a bother," he said with a cheerful grin. "And I don't laugh during auditions. Well, other than-- no, not even for comedies."
He leaned closer.
"It wasn't an insult. I just like to know."

He'd sort of hoped that Makoto or Troy might have spread the word, but he wouldn't depend on it. He did like students, though. They tended to listen.

He was honestly curious. He knew he was rough-looking for the moment, but not the extent.
"It's not a particularly pleasant play. I'll be more surprised if anyone's read it than if they haven't."
