Cassandra had shown up for work right on time ignore the mun's being abysmally late for work and had promptly gone to put up the specials. She had finally learned enough about reading and writing to use poorly-written text instead of poorly-drawn images, so the board read (if you could make it out):

Chocolate. Cake.

Whether it was chocolate, cake, or a delicious combination of the two that was being reference wasn't entirely clear.

I say to myself "I know I've got to be at this conference, but it's at one of the country's biggest computer research universities. Surely they'll have wifi. And even if they don't these are professional so surely we'll get out on time and not three hours late."
