The York Gallery; Friday [ 04/04 ]
Charlotte could barely believe that it was already Friday. The week just seemed to zoom right by and there seemed to be so much work to do, although the construction on the place was basically done and finished. That didn't stop her from occasionally departing from her work at the reception desk in the front foyer to clack around the empty gallery with a clipboard, trying to spot out one forgotten thing or another. And she'd have to move into the apartment that now waited for her upstairs, too, this weekend, and if she didn't get anyone coming in with an interest in employment...well...it was going to be a very interesting opening on Wednesday if that were going to be the case.
To say that she was feeling a bit frazzled was quite an understatement.
[[ 'HELP WANTED' sign still in the window, and post is open for anyone who'd want to pop in ]]

Even she needed a job, after all.

But she heard the door open and looked up to see someone there. A bright, friendly smile instantly blossomed on her face. "Hi! May I help you?" She looked young, and pretty, probably a student? Ooh! Perhaps she was here for a job? Charlotte's head tilted slightly, trying to get a closer look at the girl and trying to glean what sort of person she might be based on her appearance.
That sort of thing was awfully important, after all.

She stood patiently, quite understanding about Charlotte giving her a once-over. It was important to get an impression of someone, you know.

"Are you an artist yourself?" she asked. "Or are you just an appreciator of it?"

"Do you like working with people as well as shooting them?" Charlotte asked, before she realized that could probably be a better way to put that. "That is something I'll expect out of my employees. Of course, it's a given that you'll be working the reception area here, but there's also openings, which will require a little more. Serving drinks and making sure the snacks full up, that sort of thing..."

Because A: She could be, and B: You never told someone who was about to hire you that no you couldn't unless you really couldn't. It just wasn't smart.

Charlotte left it unsaid that she sure hoped the girl would work out well enough.
