Roy wasn't sure what had happened, but the pile of paperwork on his desk had disapproved as he'd finished most of it. Which was slightly awkward and he wondered if maybe it was a Fandom thing. He preferred the flying desserts to be honest.

The plus was that he didn't have to hide playing on his nintendo. Okay, so it was one of the trooper's nintendo, but he wasn't missing it.

Aly shook her head as she wandered into the station in the mid-afternoon. "Hardly working, I should have guessed."

Roy hid the game under his desk and pointed at his desk. "I'm done!"

"Why are you still here then?" she asked, grinning and not fooled at all by the hiding.

"Because I'm being alert."

There was a loud beeping noise coming from under the desk now and Roy cringed, knowing he just lost.

Aly grinned, resting her hands on his desk as she leaned over it. "How long have you been playing that game?"

"Overall or just today?" Roy asked, placing the nintendo on his desk with a sigh.

"Today," she teased. "The one you just lost."

He made a face. "Three hours?"

"It's a good thing I came here," Aly said seriously. "Your brain's in danger of rotting out."

"I am touched that you're so concerned about my brain," he told her, tilting his head. "Did you want to play chess?"

"No, I think you're done for work with the day," she said, a smirk playing over her face.

"Mmmmmm," Roy leaned forward slightly. "Did you have a better offer?"

"Come back with me to the apartments," Aly told him. "And pack a bag."

He frowned slightly as he studied her, but she seemed to be in a good. "Who's leaving?"

"We are," Aly said, eyes alight with glee.

For a moment he wondered if she'd told him something while she was half naked and he'd somehow not registered it. But he really did think he would have remembered if she told him they were leaving. "Where are we going?"

"Surprise," she said, smirking at him. "Let's go. Time to back a bag."

"So are you going to tell me where we're going?" he asked, watching her curiously.

"Didn't I just say it was a surprise?"

"Hrm," he eyed her. "Should I let Ralph know that I'll be gone?"

"That'd be nice," Aly agreed. "He might already know."

Roy sighed and reached out to touch her cheek. "What am I going to do with you?" he murmured.

"I could propose several different things," she teased.

"Tell me your favourite one," he asked, leaning closer.

"Not until you stand up and start coming with me," Aly argued, standing up straight again.
