Tom had his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth as he built a house of cards on the countertop. He seriously wasn't avoiding thinking about talking Lynette into coming to Fandom or anything, nope.

Tom actually was shirtless in canon in a season 1 episode. In a leopard-print Speedo, no less.
