Book Haven - 4/11 - Friday

Liir was testing his device today, until he could find Bridge of course for them to switch inventions.

He made it to the book store on time, put out the rest of the chili off to the side from the tea and biscuits, and neatened up the store before opening up. Then he settled behind the counter with a book on hand crafts to evaluate for the store.

About lunch time, Andrew showed up with two milkshakes and a bag of sandwiches. He had planned to actually cook something, but the sun had been coming in and hitting the bed just so, and there was a stack of new comic books on the nightstand, and well...

"Hey," he said with a goofy grin.

"I bring the lunch!" Andrew said, holding up the bag and setting down the shakes. "It's not healthy, and it's pretty simply, but," he pushed a shake towards Liir, "it includes chocolate."

"I made bologna and cheese," he said proudly as he pulled them out of the bag. He had even cut the crust off the bread and sliced them into little triangles.

"And there are some chips." Turning the bag over and shaking it produced two snack sized bag of plain potato chips.

Andrew took a sip and deemed it, "Delicious." He had gotten the shakes and totally forgot about something more wet to drink. He would remember next time.

"I put mustard on the sandwiches," he added. "That's how I made them as a kid."

"Um, the yellow kind," he said with a shrug. "Just plane old yellow."

Sometime in the early afternoon (it would've been earlier, but he hadn't planned on sleep being interrupted by certain evil, evil people, and thus there was extra sleeping in to make up for it), Bridge wanders in to the bookstore, a pair of what could be mistaken for ordinary sunglasses in one hand.

"I meant to come by earlier this morning," he admits sheepishly. "But there was this whole thing with phone calls and pizza."

Well, they do when there's calling for delivery, but pizza delivery does not usually happen at 4 in the morning, so complicated about covers it.

"Cookies are awesome," Bridge says. "And I've been... really really great. This Sunday is, well. Xander and I will have been together for a whole year." And right on cue, there's that dorky 'talking about Xander' smile, the one that lights up his whole face.

"Thanks," Bridge bounces over and picks out a cookie or two.

"I brought my project," he says, holding up the sunglasses.

Bridge takes the ball and passes over the glasses, which resemble a pair of simple black wraparound-style sunglasses, though with slightly bulkier frames in order to accomodate the needed circuitry.

"So um," he asks, turning the ball over in his hand to examine it. "Do I need to um- turn it on or anything? Or what do I do?"
