The Arms Hotel Lobby, Saturday [4/12]

"It's totally my fault, isn't it, Gunther? I screwed up. I mean, you can be honest with me. I'm an awful person. I'm a really, really horrible person and I didn't deserve him. I really screwed up..." Mary kept following Gunther around the lobby, talking on and on. Gunther didn't want to hear it. He kept walking away and Mary kept following him.

For her part, Mary was so out of it that she forgot it was Saturday.

The bear wouldn't care why Mary thought she was an awful person. She was human, good enough reason for it.

"Rwwr," it told her. Could mean that it wanted a room or that it wanted food. Bear was a complex language after all.

If Mary had been thinking straight, she might have remembered that there was still a .38 in the front desk safe from the misadventure with the angel statues.

Instead, she screamed and fled from the lobby. At least she had enough sense to barricade herself in room 111, whose occupant had stocked it with enough canned goods and ammunition to survive another dinosaur invasion.

Great, just great. How was it that one couldn't get good service nowdays? Honestly.

It looked around for one of those little bell things so common to hotels. It didn't see one. How was a bear to get assistance this way.

"GWRRRR!" it said. Hopefully someone would come to investigate.

The commotion got Gunther's attention and he came out to investigate. He took one look at the bear and fled, screaming for "Benito" to take over in the lobby.

The sous chef, whose name was not Benito but had learned to respond to it anyway, came out of the kitchen. No one had told him about the menu change and he had a tray of dried fruit scones. He took one look at the bear, dropped the tray, and ran.

Man, this had gone from bad straight to worse. This bear was not recommending this hotel to anyone. It's service was abysmal.

But that last human had dropped a tray. The bear ambled over to it and found it loaded with yummy food.

It gurgled happily and gobbled up everything in sight.

Satisfied, it wiped its face with a paw and sauntered out. It could almost be described as humming.

I have a kind of crazy day today so there may be some occasional SP, but I'll be around this evening.
