The York Gallery; Sunday [ 04/13 ]
It hadn't occurred to Charlotte until that day, really, how nicely things with the gallery had fallen into place. Perhaps it was just the good mood left over from the successful second date last night (although she did feel she might have drank just a smidgen too much), but everything was coming up nicely and she hadn't even planned it. With the gallery open only five days, the kids had taken the bulk of them, leaving the nice quiet Sundays for Charlotte to be left with manning the reception desk, but this also allowed her to be around to orchestrate the nice little afternoon tea luncheons she wanted available on Sundays.
And, of course, the Satoshi Matsuyama exhibit was displayed in all its very bright colored glory, and the York Gallery was open!

Go, them.
He reached for her hand as he stood before the first painting.
"It's so green."
Re: The Main Gallery -- 04/13
"It is." Yurika had to resist the temptation to reach out and touch the painting, and Romeo's hand made a good distraction. "It almost looks like it's moving."

He smiled at the painting she was pointing to. "It looks like Hawaii, but even more lush."

"It's a state," he agreed, frowning because geography beyond Verona walls wasn't his strong suit either. "But it's an island, in the Pacific. I've no idea where, exactly, only that it's not a very long flight."

He closed his eyes, imagining the journey she described, then gestured to a canvas. "I think I might have made them stop the plane, if it meant seeing something like that."

And she gasped. "Sugoi...these are all real places, right? I wonder how he found that, it's beautiful."
Re: The Main Gallery -- 04/13
"Are they all meant to be real?" He looked startled. "There are some beautiful places I've seen, but these are almost too perfect."

He stepped in front of the next painting and wryly added, "Unless I find a way to just go live there."

It just felt like that kind of moment. And it wasn't like the art gallery was crowded.
Re: The Main Gallery -- 04/13
"We're just going to have to find the magic words, then," she quietly murmured against his lips once they had stopped for air. "To let us into that other world."

"I think," he whispered, considering, "spring must be coming to the island."

They had managed to get out of the dorm today. It would be a shame to miss the rest of the exhibit, after they had come so far.

"Oh, this and that, or perhaps just my own crazy thoughts," he said, genially enough. "... I almost want to climb up that tree, just to have a good view of such a sunset."
