The Arms Hotel Lobby, Thursday [4/17]

Mary realized that Gunther was probably getting frustrated with her. He was trying to pitch the idea of hosting a wine tasting at the hotel, but she wasn't paying attention. She was doodling her name on a piece of scratch paper and thinking once more about whether or not she should take George Michael's last name once they got married. She had been all set to keep her own name, but the more she thought about it, the more she felt that George Michael would really like it if she used his name.

Not that Mary was going to tell him or anyone else yet. It might make a good last-minute wedding present for her new husband if she couldn't come up with anything else.

Mary waved at Stan. "Haven't seen you much, stranger."

"I know," he replied. "How are things?"

"Someone's in a better mood," Sean teased cheerfully. "What's up?"

"George Michael and I worked things out," said Mary. "Maybe all the pressure of having a big fancy wedding just put too much pressure on us. We're thinking about just eloping instead."

"Oh, very cool," Sean said with a thumbs up. "And congrats on working everything out."

"Thanks," said Mary. "And thank you for listening to me last week. Thank goodness I have such good friends here in Fandom."

I can guarantee that tomorrow morning will be crazy for me, but I should be back to pick up pings after 3 PM CDT.
