The Park: In the wee hours of Saturday Morning....

On the other side of the park, far away from where the prom tent had been set up, it was all quiet and dark.

And then a tiny pinhole of light appeared.

Then it began to grow. And swirl around. First clockwise and then counter-clockwise.

And then it became a portal. One where small children might appear from. And demand food. Possibly candy. And are now on the lookout for a safe place to watch cartoons.

[ooc: Your post for all your AU Kids to appear in and possibly be found by their parents.]

The portal spat out a wee blue furrball. It landed face-first on the grass, huffed in a distressed manner and scrambled to its feet. His feet. Percy blew a raspberry in frustration, looked around, frowned and made a decision.

He picked a direction and scurried off as fast as his weetiny feet would take him. He had to find Papa.

Sneaky.

That's what mom would call it. Lauren was being sneaky. And she was pretty good at it, if you asked her.

She sneaked-sneaked out of the portal, gripping her bag close (always had to come prepared, mum said) and looked around a bit.

Sneaky.

[identity profile] idontlooktired.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Harriet was not being sneaky. Harriet was being, if one had to choose a word, brisk. She was walking a brisk walk around the edge of the park, having woken early enough that it was a race between her and the sun for which would be up first.

Distracted might also be another word. Harriet was brisk and distracted and walking by the park.

Gracie Nast was by nature a calm child, so when she was unceremoniously dumped in the park by the portal, her only sign of displeasure was a quick glare.

And then she looked around, wondering where her Daddy might be. Or her Auntie Savannah. Or Auntie Eve. Or somebody. Because she might be brave, but she was only eight years old and didn't like being by herself.

Out from the portal flew a metal boomerang that had clearly seen better days.

Scrambling out of the portal was a small girl dressed in a blue outfit chasing said boomerang.

"Boomerang! No! You're supposed to come back to me!"

Then she stopped and realized she wasn't at home anymore.

"What is this place?"

[identity profile] badgermole-baby.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
A dirty little boy wandered through the portal, his once-fine silks spattered with mud. He looked around curiously and stamped his bare feet on the ground, paying attention to something invisible. "It LOOKS different," he pouted. "'Snot home." Not that he connected that with the portal he'd just walked through.

He wandered off to explore this new world.

[identity profile] onlyaweestar.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
A little girl with big blue eyes wandered out of the portal and looked around at her surroundings for a moment. This was not Montreal, but she bet she could find her Papa before he freaked out.

Papa could be so silly some times.

Inoue took one look around the place and her eyes widened. This really wasn't home!

"Mom's going to yell at me oh, she so will." Inoue mulled over this. Dad'd probably back her if she played her cards right when she got back home. "But it wasn't my fault so I should definitely get to have fun while I'm here!"

[identity profile] weeparks.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
Gwen didn't like this at all. Not only was she someplace that wasn't home, she couldn't find her brother. Kristof was practically her other half.

She stood there, hands planted firmly on her hips as she looked around. "KRISTOF PARK!" she yelled, having her mother's distinct lack of tact and logic. "WHERE ARE YOU?"

[identity profile] weeparks.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Kristof had no idea where he was. His eyes widened as he looked around. He started to get nervous when he heard the familiar voice yelling his name. It made him both cringe and smile.

Running in the direction of the voice, he finally saw his sister. "I'm right here, Gwen!" Kristof replied and ran to her side. "Do you know where we are?"

From the portal, with far too much exuberance, stampeded a deceptively small eight year old boy, blondish hair flopping in his eyes as he burst through. And Orden, realizing and recognizing where he was at the moment, let out one big, bold yalp of "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!"

He practically even knew right where to go to find his daddy and his papa and he was very excited to be there.

Too excited to be there, actually.

[identity profile] weechesters.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
Jake had been more intent on keeping track on what was chasing him so hadn't noticed the portal opening until he'd ran right through it.

He slowed to a stop and looked around at the surroundings that were more than a little familiar.

"Again?" He shook his head and sighed. "Dad's going to kill me."

[identity profile] weechesters.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
Sadly, Maggie hadn't even dropped the book she'd been reading as she wandered through the portal. It was a really good book. The daylight wasn't what she was expecting, though, and as she lowered the book and glanced around the park, she recognized it.

She also thought she recognized one of the boys as someone who was kind of sort of her cousin. Ish.

"It's still not my fault!"

Best to get that out there right from the beginning.

Sure Father said not to play around Gareb and to stay away from the glowy portal thing that he didn't know that daddy throw things in a lot...

But like that could stop her.

Hands on her hips as she looked around the park, Terry decided that maybe listening to Father would have been the smart thin--

THERE HE WAS! She darted off toward the town.

[identity profile] spring-pool.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
These things always happened when Terry was alone and Terry alone was a very bad thing. It always made father look angry except not angry (daddy called it numbersix) and now? Terry was gone.

Jean crept carefully out of the portal. And then she pulled upright, stalking a few paces into the park. "Terry?" TERRY?! Father's going to be angryyyy! "TERRY!"

She hadn't meant to follow that light tunnel thing, but if there was one thing that Storm possessed, it was curiosity just like her mother. So, when the light got bigger, Storm had naturally followed it.

Now, however, she was someplace she had never been and she didn't like this at all.

"Uh oh..."

[identity profile] supernovawitch.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
When he had seen the light swallow up his baby sister, Kristofer hadn't taken much time to think before he chased after it. That was his sister the portal had taken and six year old Kristofer Storm wasn't about to stand for that.

When he ended up in what looked like a park, he had lit up one of his hands to make sure that he could see -- and that people knew not to mess with him.

When he saw Storm, he made his way to her.

"Storm, are you okay?"

Sarah had her tiara, and she had a boa, and she had a bag with all the rest of her costumey stuff. Obviously she was ready for a busy afternoon of exploring the Avengers base while Mommy was in court and Daddy was in Malaysia. Uncle Hank kind of failed as a babysitter, not that she was telling her parents that.

It was all going really well until she fell through a hole in the world, taking her protesting half-brother with her.

"...uh-oh."

[identity profile] cptnamerikids.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
"This is your fault!" Steve Jr. declared. "Mom's gonna be really mad!"

[identity profile] futurestarfleet.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
One thing was clear to Sabrina and Kathryn Wildman when they came out of the portal. They definitely weren't on the USS Rhode Island anymore.

Sabrina looked around at her surroundings, trying to see if she could figure out where they were. Kathryn stayed as close to her sister as she could, not wanting to lose sight of her.

[identity profile] futurestarfleet.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Sabrina where are we?" Kathryn asked, trying not to feel scared. She wanted to know where they were and where their mum and dad were as well. At least Sabrina was with her.

After running through the portal full pelt, RJ skidded to a stop as he looked around the park. "Great," he said. "Mom's gonna kill Dad."

[identity profile] littlemissyork.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
Shayla was tentative, at best, stepping out of the portal and into the big park with all the other kids, her dark almond eyes stretched past their limit. She fiddled with the hem of her skirt a little as she looked around, trying to find her parents.

Or perhaps another kid or two who might want to play with her until then.

[identity profile] orbingchaos.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
When the portal had started drawing her in, Wynter had quickly orbed away.

Of course, she somehow ended up orbing to outside of the frakking portal.

"Just frakking great," she muttered. Mom and Dad were so not going to like this. Looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings, she stomped her foot. "Where is Mom and Dad?"

She took a deep breath, but rather than screaming her temper, she closed her eyes. She was a whitelightwitch and it was her job to be able to find witches.

Mom was a witch and Dad had taught her a long time ago (long time for a five year old) how to find Mom when she was lost. After a moment, she opened her eyes. With a triumphant grin, she orbed to where she felt her mom.

After Patrick Lee Hammond had got up off the ground from where the portal had thrown him out, he helped his sister up and started to see if he could figure out where the portal had taken them.

Nothing was really familiar to him just yet but he knew he would find some sort of clue to their whereabouts eventually. For now he looked around the park and debated where to go to find information.

[identity profile] dadcalledandros.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
After her brother had helped her up from the ground, Karone Lynn Hammond also started to see if she could figure out where they were.

Finally after a few seconds she asked, "do you know where we are Patrick?" after all, he was her older brother and he knew more things than she did. It was entirely possible he also knew where the portal had taken them.

Karyuu sped through the portal, but triped as he came out a did a strange little summersualt.

He grimaced as he looked around, it looked just like home... but newer. "Uh oh.." The small boy vaugely remembered something like this happening last year, but it was all kinda fuzzy. "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaads!"

[identity profile] weemisshargrove.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Aimee stepped out of the portal, glanced around, and then pouted.

Not only were her mommy and daddy no where to be seen right away, but there was totally not enough pink in this park. And she didn't even have her paintbrushes with her, so she couldn't go and paint the grass a better color or anything, which was not cool. Not in Aimee's book. Nuh-uh, no way.

Faith straightened her yellow raincoat and headed towards the castle. She was pretty sure that's where she would find who she was looking for.

Huh, there were a lot of kids around it looked like. "Hi." she smiled at one of the girls. "I'm Faith Kessler. What's your name?"

[identity profile] ohohpointfive.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Jules hadn't really meant to go through the portal, or expected that it would lead anywhere. But here he was, and neither Mum or Da were in sight.

"Bugger."

Well, at least he wasn't going to get in trouble for that.

[identity profile] tricksy-ninha.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
Mari's mom and dad had never really told her to stay away from glowing portal things.

They really should have considering.

But when the portal appeared in her playroom, Mari Namikaze of Pirate's Swoop grabbed her Teddy and headed on through in her Pjs.

To a portal that lead to a park.

"Swings!" She cried happily and ran over to them, dragging her teddy bear along with her.

It probably took only two seconds after Trip came through the portal that it became clear why he was called what he was called.

Because he tripped, ate some grass, spit it out and wiped his mouth fervently, followed by more spitting, until he finally clamored back to his feet and brushed off the thankfully still-in-tact knees of his nice suit pants.

Trip Wexler took an appraising glance around the park, rubbed his hands together, and then let out a youthful, maniacle laugh. It would only be a matter of moment, figures, threats of law, and diagrams until he owned this place.

Mwa ha ha.

Seraphina had been taking a walk along the beach in Verona, skipping ahead of her nurse. She was more than mildly surprised when she realized she really had walked through the shiny thing she thought she had been imagining, and was no longer on the beach.

Cautiously, she headed out onto the streets, looking for Momma or Papa.

One of the advantages of living at the BPRD was that you saw a lot of unusual things happening. That was why neither Anna or Trevor Sherman-Myers blinked when the portal appeared and then later dropped them off in a place that they weren't entirely about.

"Don't worry Trevor," Anna assured her younger brother, she was older and she had to make sure that he was safe, "Mum, Dad, Uncle Hellboy, Uncle Abe and Uncle Tom will find us, we'll stay here until they do,"

[identity profile] bprdkids.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm not worried," Trevor pouted a little, "just because I'm younger doesn't mean I don't know the rules,"
