Nast Sporting Goods [4/27]

It was a highly caffeinated Sean that opened the store. There wasn't enough caffeine in the world to deal with the ball of energy that was his child.

He got her set up behind a register -- what? She wanted to be with Daddy, not stuck in the office. And besides, she was just using that counter space to color. She wasn't actually using the register.

And then he took a spot at another register, wishing he could hide in the office all day.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Kristofer came in because he felt he was a big boy and didn't need his mommy and daddy with him everywhere he went. And because he snuck away, again. "Hi, Uncle Sean," he said, glancing at Gracie. "I want a ball, please."

He cocked his head. "What kind of really weird ball?"

"I just want a baseball, Uncle Sean," Kristofer decided. "And a glove and bat. I'm gonna teach Storm how to hit a ball today," yeah, he just decided that.

"...and I'm a big boy, Uncle Sean, so I don't want none of that t-ball stuff."

He wrinkled his nose but conceded. "You have the plastic kind too?" Kristofer wouldn't want his sister to get hurt.

"That will be for Storm," he said. "But can I still get the big boy kind? I promise not to use it around my sister."

"Yeah, thanks," he said, shoving his hands in his pockets. "But I do take care of her. She's mine."

After making some new friends in the dorms, Kristof had gone back to get his daddy. He wanted to get a soccer ball and play.

With Adam trailing behind him, Kristof entered the store and moved up to the register. "Hi," Kristof grinned and waved at Sean, spotting Gracie as he did so. "Do you have a soccer ball I could have?"

And that would Adam behind him, chuckling softly.

"Thank you," Kristof grinned happily. He wanted to play soccer badly, he was bouncing on his toes due to the excitement. "I'm Kristof," he explained. "This is my daddy," he added, grabbing Adam's hand.

Adam laughed, amused. "Hey Sean, how's it going?"

"Yeah, I hear you," Adam nodded, knowing he'd done some flailing the other morning. It was quite unexpected, that's for sure. Spotting Gracie, Adam smiled warmly. "She's adorable."

"Yeah, apparently Fandom's trying to tell us something," Adam smiled. He hoped that the kids he'd been sent was the possible future he'd get. He was hooked, he adored them.

"I have a feeling that you'll be a great dad, if this is any indication," Adam smiled. Hey, he was always optimistic.

Kristof's eyes widened in amazement. "Oh wow!"

Talk to Gracie

She gets her own segment of the OCD, yay!
