The Preserve, Sunday afternoon

After getting off work, Robin went to the spot where he'd handwavily arranged to meet Brianna. He'd also advised her to wear clothes that she didn't mind getting dirty, and boots.

"Hi!" Brianna waved once she spotted Robin. "I'm so excited about this!" So excited that she was almost bouncing.

"I'm glad you could make it." Robin said. He was bouncing with excitement. "The swamp is down this trail a bit."

"Cool! I'll follow you!" She grinned hugely at him.

Robin led the way. Soon enough the smell of swamp flowers and lily pads reached them. "Not far now."

Brianna was enjoying the sight and smells around her. She'd never seen anything like it before.

"It's so pretty."

"I'm glad you like it." Robin beamed. Soon they reached the edge of the swamp. There was an old rowboat on the edge that had long since become a garden and home for some local muskrats.

Frogs, crickets and birds made their music.

"Wow!" Brianna stood on the edge and looked about. "It's more beautiful than I could've imagined."

She glanced over at Robin. "Thank you so much for bringing me here. I don't know how to thank you enough."

"It's my pleasure." Robin said. "I like to come out here whenever I'm feeling homesick. Sometimes me and some of the other frogs in the area will have a singalong."

"That's good. I mean, to have a place to go to that reminds you of home. You sing?"

"I love to sing." Robin bounced happily. "Do you sing?"

"No. I never really tried before. I'd like to hear you sing. If that's okay?"

"Oh, that's so nice! What a pretty song." She beamed at him. "Thank you!"

"Thank you." Robin said. "That song's one of my favorites."

"I don't know how long I'll be here," she smiled sadly, "but I think I can come back and visit. Or," she perked up a little, "We could try to squeeze one in soon."

"I'm free tomorrow." Robin said. "And I hope you can come back and visit, that would be great."
