Savannah knew that today was Isabel's shift at Pixie Dust and that it would probably be the best time to either talk to her or set up a time where they could. She had kept her distance over the weekend because she knew that, at first, Johnny had been hurt by the existence of Wynter. If Storm and Kristofer were right, in the future, Isabel was their "Aunt Isabel", and so, not wanting to hurt her friend, she had kept her distance.

However, she couldn't keep her distance forever, and she felt that she needed to make sure that Isabel knew the only love she felt for Wyatt was that of him being her big brother.

Even with all of those rational thoughts and determination in her mind, she was still a little hesitant when she approached Isabel.

"Hey."

Isabel was a tiny bit focused on the computer. "I, E, dammit! I need another S." Grumbling as her eleven letter word wound up only being a six letter word and time ran out, she looked up. "Oh, Sorry. Hi Savannah."

Savannah gave her a smile. "Is this a bad time?"

"Nah, I'm just killing time with this stupid game," Isabel told her. "I should play Solitaire. It's less frustrating."

"Solitaire would probably be less frustrating, if you're using actual cards and not the computer. Because you can't very well throw the computer across the room when you get annoyed with the game."

Isabel snickered. "Losing at Solitaire doesn't bother me. I just reshuffle and start over. So the laptop's safe. This though. Arggh...." Shutting the computer, she pushed it aside.

"So what can I do for you? Looking for something to wear for the weekend?"

Savannah shook her head. "No, thanks. I... uhmm... actually, I wanted to talk to you." She drew in a breath. "About Wynter."

"She was cute," she smiled. "And very much a miniature you and Wyatt."

Savannah bit her lip. "She really was and she was so precocious and I loved her." She swallowed. "Isabel... I would never..." She shook her head. "I'm in love with Johnny, and the love I have for Wyatt is that of a big brother."

"I know that. I was little jealous at first," Isabel admitted. "but then he explained where, when, she came from. And I can't be angry about that."

She looked at Isabel. "That nine months we were stuck there, all we thought about was how to get home to you and Johnny. When Wynter showed up and told Johnny and I what happened -- that Wyatt and I in her world had never made it home... it was a bit of a shock. Johnny was a little upset at first until we had the chance to talk... and I've been worried you were upset as well. I didn't want you hurt, too. It's kind of why I made myself and Wynter as scarce with people as possible... but then I saw you guys talking at the dinner."

"I'm not," Isabel promised sincerely. "Honestly. I can understand how they felt. Scared. Lonely."

She looked down for a moment, remembering Antar. "There was a time when I was in a situation like that and if I'd had someone to turn to..." Because Michael, despite the whole betrothal thing, just didn't count. "Well, I probably would gone looking for some comfort. So yeah, I can understand. And I think that other version of me somewhere who's lost him? I think she'd understand as well."

Savannah felt her eyes mist over and she blinked to clear them. "I'm sorry you were ever in a situation like that, Isabel. I would never have wished that on anyone." She swallowed. "She... she seemed like a happy kid... she definitely didn't seem to be sad or afraid of anything. She uhm, threatened to vanquish Johnny."

Isabel had to snicker. "Like I said, very much a miniature you and Wyatt. But she was sweet and she loved you guys."

"She did love us -- and kept pointing out how Johnny was nothing like her daddy and he was probably a demon." She shook her head. "Kristofer and Storm didn't take too kindly to that." She smiled. "As much as I loved her and as hard as it was to let go... I am so glad that I'm not the mom that will have to deal with her when she becomes a teenager..."

"Victoria had my powers and Wyatt's," Isabel laughed. "We're doomed."

Savannah seemed to be more relaxed. "Storm had mine and Johnny's powers and Kristofer had his dad's powers... our future is definitely going to be an interesting mix of wonderful and doomed." Because, like she had told Johnny when he had asked, she believed that their family was indeed a glimpse of their future.

"I know," she nodded, looking forward to that future very much. "Isn't it great?"

"It's very much great." Savannah smiled and nodded, happy that she wasn't the only one looking forward to that future. "I like the idea of my kids calling you Aunt Isabel... and I loved the idea of Victoria calling me Aunt Savannah."

Storm and Kristofer seemed to have no fear of anything so she wondered if that meant that eventually she would be safe from the cabals.

"Just not for a while yet okay?" Isabel grinned. "It was fun for a weekend, but I'm not ready to be a full time mom just yet. Not with the schedule I'll be keeping in the fall.

She stared at her in horror. "No. Not soon at all. So not ready for that."

"Exactly. And if were too soon, then Wyatt and Chris would probably try to vanquish Johnny," she pointed out. "And we'd have to thwap them repeatedly."

Savannah nodded with a grin. "Yeah, they take being my adoptive big brothers seriously and add Chris being my whitelighter..." She looked at Isabel. "Why do I get the feeling that part of our futures will include thwapping all three of them quite often?"

It was nice, though, having big brothers that looked out for her without trying to order her around.

"Because they're guys. And there's testosterone. It's just a given," Isabel sighed.

"Sometimes they can be cursed with an over-abundance of it," she said dryly. "And if you throw Anders into the mix, too..."

She sometimes thought Sean and Adam Park were the only guys she knew who didn't get ruled by that Y chromosome.

"He's not too bad." Mostly because he listened to Isabel most of the time. "Johnny and Wyatt though? God save us from the alpha males."

"Anders is a sweetheart -- unless he thinks he needs to protect me from Johnny." She shook her head. "I think sometimes they all forget that I'm not powerless." Savannah groaned. "They really are both seriously alpha, aren't they?"

"They are. And I'm not sure what we can do about it except give them rulers and tell them to measure up once and for all," Isabel said with a devilish grin.

Savannah's eyes wee twinkling. "Well, Johnny and I plan to go back to Mexico during the break between sessions and we wanted you and Wyatt to come with us. We could give them rulers there..."

"Now that could be interesting. I'll have to what Wyatt wants to do. I'm sticking around for the first session," she explained. "But then I have back to Roswell. I need to get the car there and I want to spend some time with my brothers before the semester starts."

Savannah nodded. "Let us know, it could be a nice send off for you and Wyatt. I need to get away from Fandom for a vacation after the last month o two, and Johnny wants to be with me -- and there is no way I'm going to Stonehaven right now."

"Yeah, the last few months have been a bit crazed," Isabel agreed. "Getting away is definitely a good idea."

Savannah nodded. "We could all use a nice break before more craziness starts in our lives."

"I know a certain amount of craziness is a given if Wyatt and I are going to stay together. I mean if the family calling is to fight demons for a living, you have to expect weirdness." Isabel shook her head, "I could just as soon do without any alien related weirdness ever again."

"I bet you could and I'm always around for you if you need help, okay?" Savannah smiled slightly. "I wish I could make it where Johnny wouldn't have to deal with any of the Cabal Craziness that comes along with being in love with me... I tried once to keep it a secret from him... didn't work so well."

"I can only imagine," she replied. "I think honesty is definitely the best policy."

Because the world can't end before graduation.
