Eve was sitting at the front desk, making a list of everybody she'd taken pictures of, both parent and kid. She was trying to get some idea who she would need to send an e-mail to.

The exhibit was still there and was still getting a favorable reception. And a couple of them had sold tags that hadn't been there the day earlier, thanks to permission to go ahead and buy a couple of the paintings for Stonehaven. She'd bought one for her room, her favorite one, and then one for Jeremy's study.

She was a cheerful Eve for a change.

There's coffee, there's tea, there's a few little nibbly snacks that Eve will kill you for if you take them into the gallery proper, and there's an Eve.

Adam had yet to visit the York Gallery while Eve was working, so he figured today would be a good day to do so.

Eve looked up from her enormous expanding folder o' notes and grinned. "Well, look who it is," she said with a happy smile.

"Hey you," Adam grinned brightly. "Thought I'd drop by to say hi." Nothing wrong with that. "Busy day?" he asked, eying the folder.

"More like a slow work day and a long day of me weeding through my notes to see if there's anything I don't really need to keep after all," she said cheerfully. "And holy crap, man, I have notes from first summer session last year."

"Okay, hearing that makes me not want to look at my notes," Adam laughed, shaking his head. "I'm sure I have a good chunk left over from then." Perhaps a late attempt at spring cleaning was needed.

"Yeah, but don't forget, I kept like everything. So your notes probably aren't as bad as mine."

"Good point," Adam winked, laughing lightly. "Maybe it won't be that bad, then," he teased.

"Maybe... or maybe it'll be even worse because they're not organized," she teased right back.

"I knew I forgot to do something," Adam frowned in regret. "Damn. Guess it's going to take me some time to sort through them now. You might not see me for a while," he winked.

"Oh no," Eve said. "We're not gonna have that, mister. Your notes try and steal you, they'll have to deal with me."

"I think I should be scared for my notes," Adam winked, grinning brightly. "I'll make sure not to disappear," he promised.

As if anything would keep him and Eve apart. Please.

"Don't worry," she assured him. "I'll leave your notes alone if they leave you alone."

"I'll try not to," Adam winked, teasing. "I'll be sure to relay that message to them," he chuckled.

"Are those some red tags I see?" Charlotte, having done a bit of a sweep through the gallery before intending to grab some files to work on up in her apartment, had to ask. Of course she knew, because she'd seen them, but it certainly was a nice thing to see.

"Indeed they are," Eve said with a grin.

"Talk about timing!" Charlotte commented with a little laugh. "I'm just starting to think about pushing this exhibit out for a new one, too! Who're they going to?"

Yes, she could just check her computer and the information would all be there but that wasn't as fun.

"Two of them are going to me, actually. Well, technically. My daughter Savannah's guardian Paige is friends with some people who have a place up in New York. One of them is going into the room I sleep in when I'm there because it's my favorite. The other's going into Jeremy's study -- Jeremy's the guy who owns the place." There you go. Suitably vague and not requiring explanations about the pack.

"They're actually being paid for by this guy named Benicio -- his son, Lucas, is dating Savannah's guardian Paige. And Benicio kind of looks out for me and her." More like they had him wrapped around their little fingers. "So he told me to pick out a couple I liked and have 'em shipped up when the exhibit closed. 'course, he doesn't know one's specifically for Jeremy, but ssh. What he doesn't know won't hurt him." She grinned.

Charlotte was.... pretty sure she followed all of that. Well enough, anyway, and she nodded, smiling back. "Well, you'll have to thank Benicio for me. It seems like a good sign when someone you don't even know who isn't even here is picking up a piece or two from your first exhibit!"

"I'll definitely pass it along," Eve said with a nod. "And just think, with this good of a start, imagine how the next exhibit will do!"
