The Arms Hotel Lobby, Sunday [5/4]

Mary was almost sad that the weekend was coming to an end because everyone would be checking out by the end of the day. But the excitement of shopping in Santorini certainly helped, not to mention the twist Gunther put on afternoon tea.

Gunther will be pouring, but he will not be doing any Greek dancing.

That is, unless the ladies want to take him to a nightclub.

Who is already planning her next shopping excursion.

Tom dropped by to visit Mary after leaving the brunch, almost bouncing off the walls with delight.

"Hi Tom," said Mary, grinning. "Can you believe it? We're in Greece!"

"I know! I love this island!" Tom gushed. "I'm not quite sure how it works, since I drove here from home and managed to get here alright..." He took a deep breath to calm himself down. "I can't wait to tell Lynette. She'll be so jealous. If we have a slow day at Pizza Planet I might head to the mainland just to sightsee."

"Except now our mainland is another island," said Mary, grinning. "George Michael and I were going to sneak off to Niagara this weekend to elope, but I had to cancel. It was probably a good thing, though. We might have missed all this. Now I may actually get my beach wedding after all!"

"So you two patched things up? I'm glad to hear that," said Tom sincerely, before he bounced a few times. "And canceling an elopement because the island suddenly zapped us to Greece is definitely not a bad thing." He still couldn't quite believe it.

"We worked everything out," said Mary. "Fandom gave us a little preview of our future. We're eventually going to have twins! But first we have to get married."

"Really?" Tom raised his eyebrows. "I hope they weren't little troublemakers like my twin boys are."

"We had a little boy and a little girl," said Mary. "Little Michael was kind of shy, just like his daddy, and little Melissa got ahold of my clipboard and started planning her own party. And they had my red hair but George Michael's curls. They were just so adorable! I really hope that they're my future kids and not some alternate reality that just doesn't happen."

Tom was still trying to wrap his brain about the whole alternate-realities thing, and he smiled and nodded.

"I hope so, too," he said. "They sound like wonderful kids, especially if they take after the two of you." He snickered. "I didn't get any visitors, myself, but I'm already a dad five times over, so I'm too old for any more. Hopefully."

"I still can't believe you have five kids," said Mary. "George Michael is still getting used to the idea of having a single child. He's come a long way, though. I think if we have some time to let it sink in before starting a family, he'll be okay."

"Sometimes I can't, but it's the best thing in the world to me. I've always wanted a big family," said Tom, then nodded knowingly. "As long as no kids unexpectedly come up, I think he should be alright. Lynette was... shocked, to say the least, when she had her first ultrasound and found out she was carrying twins." He winced briefly, remembering the loud argument they'd had when first moving onto Wisteria Lane, right in front of their new neighbours, no less.

"Well, I'll be prepared for twins, then," said Mary. "I don't come from a really good family background. My father was a creep, my mom took off because she couldn't stay with him, and I finally just ran away when I was 15. I was lucky that my best friend Danny had such a wonderful family. They took me in after things went bad at home."

Tom smiled softly.

"I was better off than that... but it's good that you'll be able to provide your kids a better life than you had. Whenever they come along, that is- and I'm sure you'll be a great mom."

"Thanks," said Mary, smiling. "I did pretty well last weekend, at least. Plus I have two half-sisters under the age of 7 and I made sure that they'll have an easier time than I did."

"Ah, so you have experience, then. That always helps. By the way... just curious, are you and George Michael going to go back to your original plan of getting married at Fandom? Or are you going to try something else now?

"Well, we've decided against the church wedding on the island, but from there it gets confusing," said Mary. "We were talking about Niagara Falls, then we started talking about Las Vegas. I may just need to use a dartboard to make a decision."

Tom chuckled.

"That's as good an idea as any if you can't decide, then. I hope whatever ends up happening is satisfying for both of you, though."

"Whatever happens, we'll be happy. Just as long as his uncle and cousin show up and complicate things," giggled Mary.

That would be awkward, since George Michael accidentally married his cousin and Mary sort of slept with his uncle before she started dating George Michael.

"Well, that's good. I hope I can see pictures, at least." He checked his watch. "Ahhh, I'm sorry, but I have to run- I'm late for work. It was nice talking to you, though, as always."

Tom wouldn't have been phased too much to know those things, as it wasn't all that different from what went on on Wisteria Lane.

Sort of aroundish all day, except for some SP while I try to find a Greek restaurant for lunch.
