The Boards - Tuesday - [6/10]

Today, Geoffrey was feeling minimalist (which probably had something to do with the props and costumes he'd ordered).

So.

Rehearsal.

[ocd up!]

Amber waited for the other actors to ready themselves, preparing for her role herself, mentally going over her lines.

Cal...might have been a bit eager to work out his scene of getting stabbed. Considering what he could gleam from Tennant's directing methods, he was really focusing on channeling into his acting the fact that at least two people had suddenly, unexpectedly died right in front of his eyes. One on stage, even...

Gladys stood perfectly still at the back of the stage, waiting patiently for her words to be needed.

"I Am Waiting For My Words To Be Needed," she replied, eyes flickering.

Sipping bottled water, Amber slouched in her chair, her notes dangling from her fingers enough to graze the floor as she totally zoned out.

Cal had, for the most part, hesitated to bug Amber today, but, while thinking about it got his anxiousness going, he also remembered that he did decide he was going to tease her at least a little. Hopefully, it wouldn't turn out where teasing often did, but, most likely, it would, but oh, well.

He passed over the whole notes thing taking a chair behind her a little and leaning in to top her shoulder. "So," he stated. "Any soaps for me today?"

Clearly not thinking about soaps, nor the sound of movement behind her, Amber was somewhat startled into realization that she had in fact, zoned out and had been ignoring everything that was going on around here.

She didn't hesitate in her snarky reply however. "There might be a purple dinosaur in my front left pocket."

Cal wondered if she really did, or if she was just teasing back.

"What," he asked after a moment and shook his head, "is up with you girls and purple?"

...He remembered when purple was totally his favorite color, too, at one point...

Turning her head, she smiled at him. "Need I point out that it is a rather feminine color, Cal? Purple with girls will no doubt be a favorite forever. It's not actually mine but I do like it. And do you honestly think I have a purple dinosaur in my pocket?"

The use of the word feminine had Cal drawing back slightly, but the rest of it made him draw his eyes down toward Amber's pockets. "It's possible," he said. "If it's a soap dinosaur. Or even if it's a wee tiny one, seeing as this island just seems to love wee tiny things."

As soon as she saw his eyes shift down, Amber covertly shifted her position, hopefully making it hard to tell whether she did or not.

Who would carry around a purple dinosaur soap in their pocket?

"So a weetiny one or just a soap one; you're leanin' towards the possibility of yes?" She paused. Grinned. "Care to bet on it?"
