Wellspring Arms & Meditation Centre

Ino slipped into the shop at her usual time, fussing with her plants and making sure that the place was clean. Today though, she had her gun. You know, just in case she needed it or something.

After making sure everything was neat and tidy she settled herself in his chair and pulled out a pack of cards. It seemed silly, almost, to be practicing wrapping her chakra around them when she normally used kunai. But cards, she thought, were a lot easier to come by if something attacked while she was in the dorms but too far away from the weapons locker.

Wellspring Arms is Open.

"Taken up solitaire?"

Cable arrived down in the shop during his usual hour, a cup of coffee in his hand and a dog trailing by his feet.

Tether began his usual morning ankle-tackle attack, skipping a little over the chair's base in his enthusiasm.

"As long as you won't start speaking with a Cajun accent, I won't ask..." Cable's attention was already on the weapons cases, and his body soon followed.

He was fine with pettings. Pettings were good. With dignity, Tether shoved his behind into the pettings. Dignity.

"The last man I knew who liked to do card tricks was very..." much an annoying buttmunch, "...difficult." Cable sipped his coffee as he inspected the inventory. "He had a Cajun accent." An insanely overexaggerated one.

"Keep it that way," he said, dryly. "Everything's been quiet?"

He walked up to the counter but didn't say anything for a moment.

His lips quirked in a crooked smile before he reached out to poke her lightly in the shoulder.

"A note, little sister. Or something, hmm?"

"It's why I do not come bearing cookies today," he said with mock sternness.

Liir was unimpressed. This was, after all, Fandom. Also, if there'd been danger, well...

He pointed to the phone.

"And it's Wednesday. Especially considering the shooting and the explosions."

He wasn't angry. But he wasn't going to let this by without saying something. Keeping him in the dark had been the first step before--

Well.

"How would you feel if I didn't show up and didn't tell you about explosions and shooting?"

"How's it going?" Lana said with a smile.

"Boys are stupid, I'm still here, and I have no plans to develop a Cajun accent either, so..."

"Absolutely!" Lana said firmly.
