Cafe Fina - Wednesday - 6/18
Liir had felt somewhat out of sorts for days and so he was glad to be back in the kitchen. He could, of course, have gone to the one down the hall from him and made something, but his interest in such had waned somewhat. He was hoping that today's work would freshen him up a little.

Re: Liir
"Hi, Liir."
Re: Liir
Perhaps he'd just been lonely. He hadn't seen Ino on Sunday, after all.
"Amber, hello. Can I get you anything? How've you been?"

Re: Liir
Sighing a little, she said, "I do like salmon and I love strawberries."
Re: Liir
"I did a salmon soup today, so that," he said, wandering back to serve up a bowl for her, complete with flourishes. A glass of a lightly flavored italian soda was put next to it.
"And give me a minute and I'll see what I can do about strawberries (http://community.livejournal.com/food_porn/4632990.html)."
Re: Liir
"I don't need the strawberries yet. Can you eat lunch with me?"
Re: Liir
He generally didn't like fish, but the soup had come out well enough that he was willing to give it a shot. He also brought out a few of the scallops with a scoop of risotto.
"I'm allowed a lunch, though I don't usually take it," he admitted. At least, not since he had no one to share lunch with.
"I'm glad you like it."
Re: Liir
Amber took a moment to look around. "I might have to come here more often."
Re: Liir
"I'm here every Wednesday."
One of the spoons edged around the kitchen door. Liir shooshed it back to the kitchen with a quick instruction not to over-stir the soup.
Then he turned back to Amber.
"You're working today, aren't you?"
Re: Liir
She did raise her brows at the shooshing from Liir at... "What was that?"
Re: Liir
"And I certainly wouldn't mind a lunch date every Wednesday. It would remind me to take my lunch, especially."
Re: Liir
"You'd think with all this wonderful food you cook, you'd remember especially," she replied, and then took another bite of her soup.

Re: Liir
"There's nothing specific."
He noticed the staring.
"What?"
Re: Liir
She blinked. "What what?"
Re: Liir
He'd just shut down, let his mind dip down into the dark and settle. Even now he considered his thoughts more like a finicky dog than a traditional mind.
"It was just easier."
Re: Liir
Re: Liir
He shrugged.

Re: Liir
"I suppose it's a matter of perspective."
