Trooper Station - Saturday

Roy had gone early into the station what with all the ghosts on the island. Maybe it was just some Fandom weirdness, but the way the amount of ghosts seemed to be increasing didn't much reassure him. When the lovely announcement about the island take over came in, he was sure.

A minute later the whole station was buzzing as Roy took charge and prepared the troopers for the invasion that was surely to come. Two were sent up to the school to investigate while Roy readied the rest of the troopers to patrol the most vulnerable areas of the island and to assist the students and townies.

By the time the two troopers made it up to the school and reported on the figure in a chariot waiting there, every trooper had gotten his orders. Ralph was left in charge of the station as Roy darted out to try and beat the deadline.

((Establishy and open! OCD with timing added! Roy will be off fighting, but he'll return to the station from time to time to check up on things. Feel free to run into him there or to come help out or ask for trooper/sheriff/town security assistance.))

Roy and the troopers will be very busy setting up security around town.

Roy's attempt to catch up with Hades failed. He'll be busy keeping track of the troopers and darting in and out of the station to help out and back up where he can.

Feel free to run into him in one of those in between moments or to catch up with a trooper or other security people if you prefer.

After a ~~handwavy~~ tangle with a very annoying gryphon - and really, these were bad enough at home, did Hades have to bring them to Fandom too? Aly made her way into the station to check up with Roy and see if he had more information.

Roy was at the desk in the lobby, bent forward over a map of the island, listening to the radio that lay beside him. He indicated the troopers' location on the map before he glanced up to see Aly there.

He quickly looked her up and down for injuries. "Had a nice walk out?"

"Oh, you know, typical Saturday," Aly said easily. "Sunny, the water, mythological creatures. How about you?"

"See that and raise you a ghost," he straightened up and turned to face her.

She looked over him carefully. "Saw some of them, yes," she said, hiding her worry. "You're supposed to stay out of their way, you know."

"I did!" he protested. The ghost hadn't been staying out of his way. "You haven't getting in too much trouble?"

"Who? Me?" Aly pulled out a knife and cleaned it on her handkerchief. "Why would I be in trouble?"

"Isn't that your middle name?" he raised an eyebrow.

"That would mean it's in me," she teased, coming closer. "What do you know?"

"Not all too much you won't already know," he murmured. "Hades is definitely behind this. Principal Washburn has taken up shop in the town hall to coordinate things. She said she'd be in contact as soon as she knew more."

"The early morning announcement did rather give away Hades' involvement," Aly said wryly. "Stupid Gods. Never did trust him."

"And you're surprised I don't want to believe in them?" he asked. "Maybe the school should start screening before hiring people."

"It's pretty close to conscious blindness not to believe in him after this," Aly pointed out.

Roy considered it for a moment. "No, it's not," he decided.

She rolled her eyes. "I should be offended you don't take my word for it. Regardless, what are we doing about it? I understand the library is hopping. You'd think someone who's been here for a year and a half would block off access to the library first thing."

"They just started the research," he said. "Nothing's come out of it yet. Hades seems to have disappeared ever since the deadline passed. The troopers have had their hands full fighting up whatever Hades' dragged in here, I haven't had the men to spare to thoroughly search for him either."

Aly nodded slowly. "There's a lot of fighting going on. Typical Fandomers, not letting anyone boss them about. I wouldn't worry about searching for him. He'll appear when he wants to be found, and we won't have a chance beforetimes."

"That doesn't leave a whole lot of options," he said quietly. He reached up to scrub a hand across his face. "Just hope they find something in the library and try to keep those things out of town as much as possible."

"They're Immortals," Aly pointed out, rubbing his shoulder. "Doesn't mean they can't be killed."

"Maybe they need a new name then," he suggested wryly.

Aly rolled her eyes. "I already made that joke when I was seven. It apparently has to do with them not dying of old age."

"I haven't been around them for seven years," he said, slightly defensive and he turned to snag the radio from the table.
