The Catacombs, Tartarus - Sunday
The passage of time was hard to tell in Tartarus and even more so in the catacombs. Between the cold and the dark and the Nightmares flitting in and out of the prisoners' minds, a minute could feel like an eternity and an eternity could feel like a minute. There was a giddiness in the air, a feeling of twisted elation that tasted sour when you breathed it in.
It was the Nightmares. They were feeding and they were happy. Too bad the same couldn't be said for the catacombs' occupants.
[OOC: Second verse, same as the first. Same as yesterday basically. Feel free to do the nightmares in your journals and post them here. There will be a post up later today for the raiding party. Please be sure to look in on it as they're your rescuers and will be coming to get you!]

She'd lost all sense of what was real and what was a nightmare (http://izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com/151530.html).

He curled under his jacket and wondered if he was going to get out of this place.

This one wasn't even a surprise. She'd been waiting for this one (http://idontlooktired.livejournal.com/11155.html).

She wrapped her arms around her knees, and closed her eyes tight.

'My island now, Harry. And everyone on it is dead. It's only a matter of time.'
Wait. That wasn't...
'See ya, babe.'
He left her alone in the cold and the dark, deep in the depths of hell
That-- it had already happened.
Something broke and her eyes snapped open. She knew where she was. Freezing, she curled up to try and conserve warmth and forced her eyes to stay open. The nightmares were dragging at her, claws sinking into her consciousness, into her soul, but she fought them with her anger.
Spiralling down into nightmares, she gritted her teeth and dragged herself back out.
She clung to one image. Used it to hold the nightmares off.
Hades' smirking face.
She doubted he'd appreciate the irony.

Finally she shook her head. That would never do. If she was stuck in this little rock cell, she was going to have to make it livable.
So she stood up defiantly, humming under her breath, as she ripped part of her petticoat to make a nice little dusting cloth.
And she began to sing...
Just whistle while you work
And cheerfully together we can tidy up the place
So hum a merry tune
It won't take long when there's a song to help you set the pace
And as you sweep the room
Imagine that the broom is someone that you love
And soon you'll find you're dancing to the tune
When hearts are high the time will fly so whistle while you work...

"Oh god. Oh god."
In the cave, Geoffrey's arms wrapped around him. He shuddered, he sobbed, but he didn't move. Couldn't move.
"Oh god."
