The Park [Afternoon/Evening]
There was something new lurking in the pond today. Something even more terrifying than the scylla.
The water on the pond was bubbling, shaking, almost as if something was moving.
Approach...if you dare.
[And here is the hydra! This thing has nine heads, is badass, has breath that could kill you, and a sharp tail. Attack at will!]

He tossed a few handfuls of salt onto the water.

It hissed and fixed eighteen pairs of beady eyes on the boy.

He rolled to his feet, drawing his club for an all-out attack, but his eyes flicked back to the boomerang, still sailing through the air. "Wait here!" he told the monster. "I'll be back to kick your butt in just a minute!"
He ran around the pond and off into the park, to retrieve his boomerang. It was TOTALLY not a retreat. Totally.

Then he noticed the monster. "Frelling squirrels can't even count heads," he said, shaking his head. "Dief, attack!"
Right, like that was happening.

Golems could move fast when properly motivated, and Gladys was in front of Barney and reaching up one huge hand to grab the monster's head. "That Is Not Acceptable."

"If any of you have an accident in my house..." His voice trailed off as he hurried back toward Apocalypse Avenue.

And still nothing. Another joined in, trying to take out Gladys's body.
The heads in Gladys's gripped strained painfully, the eyes of the hydra going wide with something akin to fear.

It's only reaction was to send it's tail whipping towards Gladys, right for the front of her dress.

One single head came roaring down at Gladys in an attempt to knock her off her feet.

It had a problem with authority so it just kept trying to force it's jaws down onto Gladys's head.

She would have gone back, except her dress was in tatters and she was practically naked. Wrapping it around herself as best she could, she hurried to get inside before someone saw her.
