Park Renovation [Monday]

Well, after this weekend, it was going to be more of a park clean up.

Fraser was there, looking tired and worn, but he was there.

"Good morning," he said quietly. "For those that were here this weekend, I hope you are all well or will be getting well. If you have friends and loved ones that were all involved, I hope they are well too. Today, we're just going to do a park cleanup. A lot happened here and, while our improvements weren't ruined, they probably need to be touched up. Thank you."

With that, Fraser moved slowly off to start cleaning.

Damn mythological creatures, making huge messes!

Turtle Wexler knew that she would have been crap against anything that went on this weekend, and she was a-okay with admitting it, really, to a certain degree. Recognizing her limitations, and all that. Really. One-hundred percent okay. One-hundred and ten percent, even.

Her seeming enthusiasm for helping get things a bit back to normal this morning was simply out of her love of helping, honestly. It had absolutely nothing to do with making up for feeling ineffectual all weekend, even if Russia did win.

La.

Mmm, foods.

Let's hope the mythological creatures didn't use our park as their facilities this weekend.

Turtle was continuing to not make up (really!) for her hermitage over the weekend by continuing her genuinely, honest-to-goodness-for-the-sake-of-goodness work in the afternoon, as well. Of course.

Aw, heck. It was worth it. She was probably unlikely to have successfully kicked any heck-beasties, anyway, and she was up fifty bucks. Couldn't beat that, really.

Hoshi was already in her messy clothes from the paint fight in Arts & Crafts (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1804363.html), so she had no trouble with jumping right into the clean-up efforts.

He's there, of course.

Laden down with baked goods, Deadpool made a stop to check on his ~~beloved~~ buddy, Fraser.

"Cookie?"

"Where did you acquire cookies from?" Fraser asked, helping himself.

"Students." Because that was totally normal. "They like to bring me things."

"Lucky you," Fraser said. "Do they just bring you cookies?"

"One brought me cake today too!" Wade added. "But that is safely at home. It's less easy to... ya know... share."

"You received quite the array of sweets today," Fraser said.

Wade grabbed a cookie for himself. "I blame the the world altering event."

"Yes, that thing," Fraser said with some disdain. "You're all right?"

"Only emotionally wounded by the betrayal of a trusted and beloved faculty member."

"Well, yes," Fraser said, shaking his head. "Nothing physical?"

Wade just eyed him. "Didn't you break my knee once?"

"You got better," Fraser reminded him.

"Exactly," Wade replied, biting into the cookie. "About five minutes later. I'm fine and dandy."

A beat.

"You?"

"I had some fun down in those caverns," Fraser said casually. "I'm fine."

"Right!" Wade offered another cookie. "So..."

This was awkward. So, so awkward.

"Want some beer next time?"

"I'm not much of a drinker," he said, laughing.

Oh, Monday. Oh, freaking SMOKE IN THE AREA. GO AWAY. YOU ARE GIVING ME A HEADACHE.
