Lemur Dance Party! [The Park - Friday event]

Sometime in the evening, the island was invaded.

By lemurs.

But these weren't just any lemurs -- no, these were party lemurs.

The park was transformed --



--and it was lemur dance party fever!

[ooc: Open to all! The island's in Madagascar, and so we have the lemurs from Disney's Madagascar! There are lots of dancing lemurs who are all fully moddable, but they're generic lemurs only, not any recognisable characters from the movie. Oh, and plz

It was nice to get out of his room, especially after last weekend but this was even weird for him.

Dancing! There was dancing! And monkeys.

Or lemurs. Whatever they were called. Jeff had arrived with a grin on his face, and it wasn't quite leaving. Even last night's game couldn't put a crimp on the dancing.

Sokka boggled.

Not at the giant primate dance party in the park, no. THAT was just normal Fandom being Fandom. No, he was boggling at the sheer bizarreness of the animals, which looked like some sort of weird cross between a lemur and a monkey. Seriously, everything else around Fandom he could get used to, but the animals were all so strange.

Despite his best efforts not to, Cal ended up just kind of giggling (yes, giggling) over the dancing lemurs. Little guys could move. And he was wondering if maybe they had any lemur soaps out there and then kind of hated the fact that he thought about the soaps in the first place, but he couldn't get too annoyed because...

Turtle was carefully trying to get some footage of this on her cell phone to send to her dad back in Wisconsin. He'd get a kick out of these.

And then probably annoy her mother by showing her all the time. It was a double benefit.

It was hard not to notice the music coming from the park even all the way at the store so, Chad, intrigued, figured he'd close the store down just to see what was going on.

And was extremely glad he did because dancing lemurs? Adorable. Definitely worth just opening the store tomorrow for.

Oh yes, there are many snacks and lots of drinks, of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic kind.

Just watch out for fuzzy, big-eyed critters in the salad.

And there were dancing lemurs.

Ned wasn't sure whether to stare, not stare, pretend he wasn't staring but was really staring or just turn back around and go hide in a closet.

He ended up choosing none of the above and just stood rooted to his spot, drink in one hand and look of confusion on his face.

Oh, and the lemur-monkeys brought food! Outstanding!!!

Sokka munched and drank and had a generally grand time.

"Don't get too attached," he told the big eyes in the salad. "Last time there were animals in the food, I wound up with a chinchilla, and I don't think there's any more room in my... room. Especially not with my Temporary Dog."

The lemurs are dancing up a storm, and they totally want you to join them.

Sometime after the dance party really got going, a very special guest appeared.

Accompanied by a rather loud fanfare, King Julian sprang into view, bouncing up onto a suddenly convenient rock to address the crowd. "Hello all you live people, and welcome to my island." What? It was an island, he was on it, therefore it must be his island. "We have never had live people before, only dead. I am loving the live people! You all are much more fun. So we are all dancing and singing and having fun, but you need to move your bodies, all nice and sweet and sassy."

Again with the invisible sound system, and King Julian the Seventeenth, self-proclaimed Lord of the Lemurs, launched first into song, and then off the rock to dance through the crowd.

[react! dance! boggle! King Julian, unlike the others, can totally speak people in his own, umm, unique away.]

Mod those lemurs, mod them! They are gregarious, enthusiastic, total party animals, so go nuts!

And they don't speak human, but they seem to understand it well enough.
