Our Lady of Fandom, Wednesday

It was cold. Not that it bothered an angel much, but Gabriel still noticed. Cat had found a blanket to sleep on. Gabriel, sipping his coffee, told her: "You know, there might be penguins invading any minute."

Cat yawned.

He peeked into the church, looking around for the, er... gentleman.

"Haven't been by for a while," he said. "Just... wanted to drop off some lunch."

He held up a bag.

He shrugged.

He just hadn't been deal with much of anyone lately. It was easier.

"Summer rolls, baby back ribs, blueberry bread pudding, and chicken caesar wraps." He stepped in to put the bag on the back pew and seemed as if he was going to leave before he walked in and took a seat.

"You don't mind if I--"

He sort of gestured to the rest of the church in a way that meant 'stay here for a while?'

He just rolled his eyes to that.

"Old favorite from when I worked for the Witch," he said with a faint smile before closing his eyes and leaning on the pew in front of him.

"People said she did. They also said she was a hermaphrodite. A man. A demon. A harpy."

There was a moment's pause.

"It was a joke. Generally, she ate crackers and coddled eggs."
