Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, Friday
Friday, and they were still in the frozen nowhere wastelands, but at least penguin-hunting had been pretty fun. So Rikku wasn't entirely grumpy as she opened the Wellspring Arms.
Well, Rikku could never stay grumpy for long, anyway.

Talk to Rikku
Re: Talk to Rikku
"Wow! This place has... a lot of guns." Momoko wasn't too bouncy about the idea of a weapons store so close to the school. Not that she knew much about the guns in this world. "And I somehow don't think that this one is meant to shoot banana peels and orange rinds."

Well, they were.
Re: Talk to Rikku
She looked around. "So, do you own this place, like Turtle owns her store?"

She grinned. "I'm glad you're settling in okay, then. Not too homesick or anything?"
Re: Talk to Rikku
Then she got quiet and looked down at her finger drawing imaginary circles on the countertop. "It happened so fast, my coming here, that I haven't had the chance to get homesick yet. Everything is so new and amazingly cool. It still feels like I'm dreaming, like I'm really at home and I've fallen asleep reading a comic book or watching one of my tv shows. And any minute someone's gonna call my name and I'm gonna wake up - " She stopped and shook her head, a smile growing back to her face.
"Sorry! No, I'm not really homesick, yet. Just dazed at being here at all."

And for the fighter-monks, in Bevelle, but that wasn't going to help her argument any, so she skipped it.
"Cable ... doesn't actually sell most of the guns here. I mean. He won't sell to just anybody, and I'm not allowed to sell them, either. You have to be someone with a really good reason for wanting a gun, you know? He takes it seriously." Which, with Cable, was an understatement.
She smiled softly at the rest. "It's kinda a shock, I know. It takes a month or so just to get your head around it. But you can write your friends, right? The ones back home? And if you ever need me, come knock on my door. Ice cream does wonders for homesickness."

Or, you know, a few days, which felt like forever when you were a hyperspaz.
"If you come visit, I'll make sure I have ice cream," she promised. "Room 308. Ella's there, too, and she's very nice. Uh. And if you really, really need me and I'm not there, try ... 429? With Reno? But that's kinda emergency-only."
As they might need to get dressed in order to answer the door, and all.
