Former Echolls Mansion: Friday Morning, 8/15

No, actually, he just felt like wearing shorts today. He felt it was in keeping with the theme of the day, which was, "Short workday! It's totally because I love you all and appreciate how hard you've been working and the care you've taken not to drive drywall screws through your heads, and nothing at all to do with it being my last day on the job or having a tux fitting in another dimension to get to this afternoon."

It did leave Xander a little confused about why everybody else was wearing shorts, though. Not that his pants didn't all transform? It's just that he'll never know it because he only opened the Tacky Bermuda Shorts drawer today.

Pro-tip: you don't need arc-welding equipment for hanging drywall anyway.

Bridge, clad in a pair of brilliant green tie-dye shorts and a t-shirt (because his uniform jacket *really* didn't go with the shorts) is here and hanging drywall. For some mysterious reason, he's also extra-bouncy today. Wonder why *that* could be...

After spending some time at the campfire, and before class, Ender quietly took to work once more. The simple work was a nice contrast to his thoughts that morning.
