The Boards - Tuesday - 8/26 - CASTING!

Geoffrey was feeling a little sore today, so the door was open, but he was mostly laying flopped in a pile of pillows near the stage. Fiyero was up and about (somewhere, maybe in the theatre, maybe outside, who could tell?) so Geoffrey was putting his "bed" to another use for the moment. The show, after all, must go on.

After his shift was done at the store, G'Kar headed over to the theatre. With a light in hand.

He smiled at Geoffrey. "Good day to you!"

"Well enough. Well fed. I see my Leonato's finally made it in. How are you?"

"Leonato?" he asked, curiously with a raised eyeridge. "And good to hear that, my friend. I have for you..." he produced a spotlight with some flourish, "a light. That hopefully will light a great many paths."

"So much for keeping up with the light and wholehearted fare of the last play," Cal commented as he strolled into the Boards today, giving the poster a bit of a casual look.

"I like to keep things interesting. What can you do? I'm glad to see you, though."

"Much appreciated. And yes, Leonato. I'm assuming you're not exactly familiar with this one?"

He tapped a copy of the play in his hands.

Cal gave a small, half-hearted sort of twitch upward of the corner of his lips at Tennant's statement before turning toward him, hands shoved in his pockets.

"So who dies in the first act in this one?"

"Quite welcome," he grinned back. "Where should you like this?" he indicated the light with a nod of his head.

"I don't believe I've had the opportunity yet to read that, no."

He pointed to the back of the theatre, near the door.

"Just push it over to the side for the moment. We'll need it mostly for the last few rehearsals. We've got more important things to deal with right now."

"No one, actually," he said cheerfully before holding out a copy of the text. "I'm pretty sure you'll be there all the way tot he end."

"Very well." He did as Geoffrey instructed and then returned. "So...tell me about Leonato."

Amber came by, script in hand. She took a seat and was just... there.

"You know we're not doing rehearsals yet, right?"

He wanted to check. Amber was usually enthusiastic.

"He is the father of one of our heroines," he told G'kar, "and the uncle of another. He is also the governor or Messina. Any more than that, though, and I won't get your own take on it when you give it a read."

He smiled.

"Nothing too taxing, I promise."

"Yah, I know it. I just wanted to check out who was coming in and see who might be getting what parts." She looked at him, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "That's alright, isn't it? I mean, I can leave..."

"I'm not going to come after you with a broom and start shouting 'get thee hence' or anything," he assured her with an uneven smile. "We've got a cast shaping up, thankfully.

"What do you think of Beatrice?"

"I don't know how I feel," Cal admitted, with an air of ambiguity as he took the script and went to flip through it briefly, "about playing someone who doesn't die."

He smirked a bit. "Then let's not waste time. Let's have a look, shall we?"
