Galatica Point, Wednesday Afternoon
There were a series of ropes extending from the stern of the Immaculata to the pontoon on which Wonders of the World resided. Joanna Stayton was at the bow of her magnificent yacht, looking out over the water before her and talking on her cell phone. "No, mother, I'm not tugging it all the way to France."
...
"I don't care if the Vanderbilts think it would look cute sitting off their pier, I'm not doing it. They can get their own."
...
"I have half a mind to take it out and scuttle the whole thing. I loathe everything about this place. How am I supposed to know what wardrobe to bring out of storage if I they can't even tell me where the damn island is going to be from day to day?. Besides, the mansion here was stifling, and I'm running out of room for my shoes. Again."
...
"Whatever do you mean, friends? Mother, are you taking your pills? Put the doctor on, I'm worried about your mental facilities."
...
"I assure you, there is no one I'm going to miss. Now, I've got to go. Andrew is coming with my lunch, and I plan to be underway before I take my first bite."
...
"Love to Shnukums." Joanna hung up the phone. "Captain!" she yelled. "I want to see white water in five! Get me away from this hell hole."
She looked firmly forward as the yacht moved slowly away from Fandom, miniature golf course in tow. Joanna wouldn't look back, afraid someone might notice that the moisture under her eyes wasn't from the salty spray.
[OOC: NFI. It's been a blast playing Joanna with you all, but it is time for her to move on. Thanks for putting up with her crap. All former employees can handwavily expect a hefty severance check arriving in the mail.]
