When Barney finally walked next door to the gym, it was with a renewed sense of ownership and innovation. Yes, he had plans to enact and people to hire and he started by setting out a sign:

Barney was rather pleased with his creation. If only he still tasted like scotch it would be a perfect Friday.

Barney's in his office, managing things as a manager does. Sadly the only new perk is full control over the contents of the mini-fridge.

Tyler got to the gym a little early for his date match with Tony and settled into a run on the treadmill. A little cardio never hurt.

"Nothing worth sighting again," Barney replied dully. "Ooh!" He brightened at the sight of the popcorn. "It's so nice living right next door. I bet that popcorn's still warm even."

Tony made a thoughtful noise and nodded. "So! Tyler. How do we begin?"

"I roll out the mat," Tyler said, going to do just that. "And while I'm doing that, you take off your shoes and decide if you want any of the padding. I never bother. You might want a chest plate." He waved vaguely to the cabinet where such things were kept.

Touching his chest, Tony nodded vaguely. "That might be for the best."

A cardiac arrest always killed the mood, after all.

He went over to grab a chest plat, but was far too manly to go for anything else.

Cardiac arrests were not how Tyler liked to end matches, that was for sure.

"Okay, then stretch out," he said, demonstrating. Nothing fancy, just moving his arms and legs to work out any kinks. He didn't even really need it after his run. "Have you ever been in a fight?"

Eying him, Tony mimicked the movements. "I'm more of a lover. And thinker."

A beat.

"And I never did get into sports as a kid."

Though, that came from being at lest five years younger than your classmates.

"I never did sports either," Tyler admitted. "It's been a while since I started from zero with anyone." He considered. "Should I try to show you the forms, or do you just wanna hit and figure it out as you go along?"
