Atlas Gym, Tuesday Morning, 9/2
Murdock had arrived a bit early and did some warm-ups as he waited for Amber to arrive. He was back in the room with the punching bag and was thinking they could work some more on that.
It was about time Amber got in some offense training.
(mostly for one, but open if others want to come by. *eta* and I totally know what month it is, la.)

So? It was a happy Amber that found Murdock. "Morning!"

And a lot of fun as it turned out.

Amber wrinkled her nose. "I did, yah, and it was icky. Did you?"
no subject
"Well good. That's what family is really for, ain't it? To drive you insane," he winked. "And yah, I did. Apparently spiced apples and rum. Goes well with chocolate."

Yes, a fun day it had been indeed.
"So are ya ready? Oh! I gotcha somethin'!" He went digging through his bag and held out a pair of fingerless gloves, ones that covered enough of the hand to keep skin intact. "These should help."
no subject
"You did?" she asked, watching him dig through his bag and come up with a pair of gloves. "Oh cool! These should totally help with the knuckle chafing. Thanks, Murdock!" Grinning she took them and put them on, curling in her fingers to get them to fit right. "Perfect."
no subject
He grinned back at her. "Good! And you're welcome. Wanna try more of what you were doin' last week?"

"Alright, then step into my office," he grinned, waving at the bag. "Just do like you did last week for a bit and we'll go from there." He stood behind the bag to steady it. "Don't wear yourself out already, just a bit of a warm-up."

Amber stepped into position and nodded at him before she began to hit the bag, shifting on the balls of her feet, and throwing punches left and right.
[I'm sorry, Benedryl knocked me out.]

He held the bag and watched her for a while, identifying her natural strengths and weaknesses.
"That's good," he grined and nodded at her.
no subject
She flashed him a quick grin back before she doubled her efforts and hit the bag harder and faster, working up a sweat.
[Weren't hittin' the bottle again, were ya? AHAH!]

"Get a chance to meet anyone new yet?" he asked casually.
no subject
"Nope, not yet. You?"
no subject
"And a lady who I think will end up a teacher. Poor thing seemed right lost."
no subject
"Yah? Who is that?"
no subject
"So, what I was thinkin'," he smirked lightly. "Is we take some of that self-defense bit and mix it with some punches. Whadya say?"
no subject
Amber nodded. "I can do that. Tell me where you want me."
no subject
The fact that she was cute probably had nothing to do with that. And hey, he can still look.
"The mats," he pointed and headed over that way himself. "Then you can try to hit me."
no subject
Amber walked with him. "Okay now, you've seen me in action," she teased, casting him a sideways glance.
