Atlas Gym, Tuesday Morning, 9/2

Murdock had arrived a bit early and did some warm-ups as he waited for Amber to arrive. He was back in the room with the punching bag and was thinking they could work some more on that.

It was about time Amber got in some offense training.

(mostly for one, but open if others want to come by. *eta* and I totally know what month it is, la.)

When she arrived, she was actually in a cheerful mood this time. Last night with Viki, well, she'd decided to let go of a few things emotionally and not give a shit about the rest.

So? It was a happy Amber that found Murdock. "Morning!"

"I went home," she answered with a wry grin. "What's that tell you?"

"Ma and Loretta yapped at me the whole time I was home. It was maddening almost. I love it though, I almost always do."

Amber wrinkled her nose. "I did, yah, and it was icky. Did you?"

She raised her brows. "How do you know it goes well with chocolate?"

She actually gazed up at him innocently for a second or two, then, "Ooooooh! Okay. I get it," she giggled. "Did you have fun? Oh, probably a dumb question, uh? No fair. I tasted like fish soaked in lye."

"Yah, I bet not. I wouldn't complain either," she smirked.

"You did?" she asked, watching him dig through his bag and come up with a pair of gloves. "Oh cool! These should totally help with the knuckle chafing. Thanks, Murdock!" Grinning she took them and put them on, curling in her fingers to get them to fit right. "Perfect."

Amber stared at him for a moment. Her eyes wicked. "Would you like to re-do your weekend over in words for me, Murdock. I wouldn't mind listening. And yah, definitely more of last week."

"Ah, yah. I missed the welcome picnic," she replied, not seeming to be at all affected by that.

Amber stepped into position and nodded at him before she began to hit the bag, shifting on the balls of her feet, and throwing punches left and right.

[I'm sorry, Benedryl knocked me out.]

There might have been; with Amber it was hard to tell.

She flashed him a quick grin back before she doubled her efforts and hit the bag harder and faster, working up a sweat.

[Weren't hittin' the bottle again, were ya? AHAH!]

"Thanks," she huffed out on a breath, taking a deep drink then took several moments to catch her breath.

"Nope, not yet. You?"

[identity profile] minnesota-teen.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"A unicorn," she said. "Seriously?" Good Lord what was this place coming to...

"Yah? Who is that?"

[identity profile] minnesota-teen.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"A carriage," Amber cracked up laughing. "She must be from what, a century ago? Poor thing."

Amber nodded. "I can do that. Tell me where you want me."

"Ah, that's good," she nodded.

Amber walked with him. "Okay now, you've seen me in action," she teased, casting him a sideways glance.
