Romeo was sad to see summer go. He tried to see it as a good thing -- new classes and new students -- but he loathed knowing it would soon be too cold for the beach.
Though Blair's party Friday promised that, at the least, this summer could die with a bang instead of a whimper.
He made a sign for the front window, then settled in behind the counter, reading a book of modern poetry, both for the pleasure of it and in preparation for literature class the next day.
