Mary had brought a picnic basket with plenty of sandwiches, cookies, and a thermos full of coffee for Gabriel. There was even some tuna for Cat. She didn't really want to disturb the stillness of the church, so she left her basket on one of the pews and turned to leave.
Mary chuckled. "I bet someone is hungry," she said, grabbing one of the packages of tuna and opening it. She wasn't sure if Cat had a food bowl around, so she just put the tuna out on a paper plate and set it down. "Here you go, kitty."
Cat didn't need a bowl. Bowls might be nice, but food was the important thing here. She made a small jump against Mary's leg and then crouched down to eat.
Cat left half of the tuna for later. It wasn't like anyone would dare to steal her food - not even the angel. She purred and jumped against Mary's leg again. Perhaps the human would keep her company for a while.
