The York Gallery [9/5]

Eve had had to dodge drunken skunks the entire way to work, so she was in no mood for the one that had somehow gotten into the gallery.

"OUT!" She pointed at the door. "YOU. OUT."

The skunk whimpered and hid under the desk.

"No, seriously, out. I'll even hold the door open for you." She held the door open. "See?"

The skunk whimpered again and toddled its way drunkenly out the door.

Oh, this was gonna be a long day.

"Okay, seriously. What is up with the skunks?" Adam asked upon entering. He looked a tiny bit harried. "On the way here, one attached itself to my leg -- or at least tried to."

What the hell, Fandom?

"This is a new one, even for Fandom," Adam remarked, his gaze settling on the drunken skunks occupying the floor. "I guess as long as they aren't causing trouble, they're okay?" Shaking his head, he turned back to Eve. "So other than dealing with drunken skunks, how are you doing?"

"Good," Adam smiled, happy to hear that. Not that he'd expected otherwise, but still, it was nice to know. He honestly wondered what the hell Fandom would come up with next, because the drunk skunks were pushing it. Just a bit. And coming from him, that was saying something.

"Yeah, I sometimes wonder what exactly causes Fandom to suddenly makes things like this appear," Adam shook his head. "I mean, the furry things attacking peoples' ankles was one thing, now drunk skunks? Let's hope things chill out for a bit."

"I have a feeling it's just going to get worse and worse," Adam smirked. "I honestly can't think of anything that could top this, but then again, welcome to Fandom."

Charlotte came down that afternoon looking a little displeased, and the sight of the skunks in the gallery certainly didn't help her expression much. "I was afraid they'd be down here, too," she muttered, pouting.

"Well," Charlotte said, a little warily, eying the skunks on her nibbles table, "at least these ones don't have my liquor cabinet to get into down here. Who would have thought skunks could drink so much?"

"Oh, well," Charlotte frowned, "I don't know about that. I think if it was that we were turned into skunks that could drink a lot, that would be much, much more mind boggling."
