The York Gallery, Saturday

Kevin wasn't exactly sure what he should be doing at work today, so he decided to pretend to be a carpenter. It took him a while to located the small toolbox that had everything one might need to hang art. Grabbing the hammer, some tiny nails, a level, and a small block of scrap wood, he went back to the desk to practice his skills. He also took his shirt off, because all good carpenters worked shirtless.

There was a poster:

[ooc: gone for a while, will pick up pings later this evening.]

Charlotte was, of course, making sure to catch up with all her employees now that they were all back to work, so she came down to see Kevin.

And paused, tilting her head with a little confusion, because she didn't exactly expect this.

"...Kevin?"

Well, she supposed if he was going to spend his time hitting things shirtless, at least he looked good doing it, but still!

Nope, she still had no idea what was going on.

"W...what are you doing?"

Charlotte needed a moment to rub her forehead.

"And the shirtless part?"

"Actually, Kevin," Charlotte said, a bit reluctantly with an expression that made it seem like she regretted having to say it; she actually regretted that what she said had been mostly true in her experience, "most of them do wear shirts. That's I've seen." Unfortunately. "And, besides, you're not really...doing carpentry work so much as...hammering nails in a board, but...that's okay! I mean, that's fine! I just think, well....I hope no one who comes in has a headache or anything."

"Umm...some," Charlotte said, thinking about it. "Not much, but we do have a first aid kit."

Charlotte gave Kevin a faint smile. "Right under the desk, to the left of the computer, second drawer down."

Sean really had a reason for going into the gallery, honestly he did.

But he kind of got distracted by the pretty, pretty shirtless guy.

Ooh, pretty!

"Uh." Sean shook his head and managed to not look too stupid. "Uh, sort of. Wanted to find out if there are guidelines for submitting to the showcase."

Why, no, he wasn't thinking about submitting something of his sister's for her, no not at all...

"Okay, good." Sean grinned. "Just wanted to make sure. Because my sister's an amazing artist but I'm pretty sure she'd never submit anything herself."

Toby stopped by to see Kevin on his lunch break, getting soaked once again as he rushed through town.

"Dude," Toby liked what he saw. "You a handy man now? This is so a fantasy waiting to happen."

"Oh my god, I am not taking care of you if you're crippled," Toby teased. "Is it safe to come over there?"

Toby grinned. "You just want me on my knees." Like he wasn't going to walk over and drop down on his haunches anyway.

"I do worry," Toby said, getting to his knees and checking Kevin's toes. "And in case you missed it, there's like a tornado or something outside."

He loved when Toby fondled his hair. "Yes. Got a walk-in closet around here somewhere?" So many good ideas came with that.

Toby stood slowly, pressing against Kevin. "I think it's time for your lunch break."

"Oh man, I totally left it at my store. I could run back?" Toby would, too. Kevin was worth the rain.

I should not want to ping my gay boy in just to ogle the shirtless teenage boy.

I couldn't resist.

Would also like to thank Jesse Spencer for doing projects where he's shirtless.
