Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center

Biff--this time in a t-shirt with hang-gliding Jesus on it (because what wouldn't Jesus do?)--sat in a chair in the Wellspring Arms and read a copy of the New Testament.

Every now and then he'd snort, roll his eyes, and scribble something in the margins.

The shop was open.

"Busy?"

The world was better off in the knowledge Cable couldn't actually read any narrative, but he was present there anyway, looming just a little bit.

"Sure?" Biff replied with a grin.

"I see you're correcting some documents," he noted. Whether he was serious or amused was a little hard to tell; whatever it was, Cable was already running into his usual inspections.

"They left me out," he explained, "and there isn't nearly enough attention paid to just how terrible Peter's hair was."

"There rarely is," Cable said, picking his gun cases carefully this morning. "Although I hope that you might have some more significant changes to suggest..."

"This version also skips the twenty years that Josh and I were off exploring the Far East," Biff said. "And these guys? I swear the stories they're telling are things they picked up from bars from guys who knew guys who'd once heard of Yeshua bar Joseph."

After going through one case's contents, Cable turned around, considering him for a moment. "So how was the Far East?" He'd been there himself, several times, but probably under entirely different circumstances.

"Depended on where," Biff said. "I enjoyed Kabul quite a bit." Mostly because of the Chinese concubines. "In China I had to shave a yak."

"I got into a few fights in ancient China..." Cable noted, "I hope they were a little more hospitable. Yak notwithstanding."

"Shaving the yak was part of the training to become a Buddhist monk," Biff said. "I ended up with most of my appendages broken. Yaks don't like being shaved."

"Nothing wrong with the Buddhist philosophy." It was about half deadpan.

"The kung-fu training was handy, too," Biff said, "but I never really became one with the all-that-ness. Got really good at sleeping sitting up."

Without preamble, Ronon walked up to the counter and directed his words to Biff. "Heard there's a shooting range here."

Biff stared up, and up, and up. "Yes," he ~~squeaked~~ said. "Do you have proof that you're allowed to be carrying weaponry?"

Ronon drew his energy rifle and it sprang to life with a high pitched whine as he twirled it around his hand. "Proof?"

Biff tilted his head at the rifle. "That's quite a thing," he replied. "How long have you had it?"

"A while," Ronon replied. "What kinda range you got?"

"A nice one," Biff said with a small smile. "Cable? Got a customer for you."

Ronon raised an eyebrow. He should've just gone to shoot things in the forest.

"Someone for the range, I take it." Cable thoroughly enjoyed being too tall to feasibly look up at anyone. Especially from the doorway, where he stood, some few feet away from the meditation room.

Ronon twirled his weapon again, muttering gruffly, "What tipped you off?"

"Might be the gun," he countered, dryly. It could be bigger. "No license?"

His eyebrows really couldn't get much higher. He really should just rent out the Danger Shop. "It's not a thing where I'm from."

"It's not necessarily a thing 'where I'm from', either," Cable replied, calmly, "Although that gets a little complicated." He threw Ronan a quick glance-over. "Circumstances?"

If you're allowed back here, naturally.

Ohmmm.

I'm in and out all day.
